If you shunt lamb, there is usually chicken. It is hearty, savoury and usually, hot or at least warm. You can have it in a pita or a wrap, the latter of which you can usually request be heated up. Paris is not necessarily all bread and water. Check out the cheap wine section in the super markets where the wines is comparable to water in pricing. In fact, pick up your favourite cheese, a baguette and a bottle of wine, and go fine a good spot. The weather should be good for a al fresco munching now. Paris is expensive but you can sit eat well on a budget. Of course, failing which, there is always a Cheese Royale (Quater Pounder) at MacDonalds.
