Not so ulu Seremban!
Ky, Suanie and Nicholas came down to Seremban to cari-cari makan! Being a Seremban-born of course i will duly play (lousy) host to the guests.
We went to Era Walk for breakfast, lunch, dinner, yamcha & party, believe it or not! That place is just 3 mins from my house too (and i’m lazy to bring them anywhere else)!
But but but, just look at what we ate and your drool will flood the entire Era Walk walkways. (Almost all the pictures are stolen from KY. I did take some la but his are nicer anyway.)
Breakfast: Mingkok Dimsum

The most popular dimsum place in Seremban. Every Sunday there will be a loooooong queue outside, but the dimsum is worth it!

Soooo many people!

Drool all you want!
Lunch: Kensington
There’s another outlet in Oakland, which used to be my favorite makan place. During Valentine’s or Mother’s Day it was always packed because it was like the only decent place for celebrating a big day.

Yummy foooood

With the owner, Grace.
Dinner: La Esquina

A Spanish restaurant in Seremban!!! It’s really the first ever exotic thing (apart from giant lizards) that has ever happened in this boring town. But can anyone tell me WHY ALL SPANISH RESTAURANT HAS A MAROON-COLOR EXTERIOR? Name me one that does not.

Food woot!

The stuffed crab is the best!

Suan and i loving the crabs.
Anyway! It has a spanking gorgeous bar overlooking a mini fountain outside, salsa music and all kinds of yummy tapas. Suddenly Seremban doesn’t sound so dull after all!

Party: Trilogy
I don’t really go clubbing but a host who doesn’t club is a bad host. So yea.

We were damn happy with our drinks.

Sissy cocktails!

Nicholas trying to look like an alcoholic Teletubbies.

Suan after one drink ahahahhaha so cute wtf!

KY acting yao yeng -_-

Nicholas the transparent man wukakakaka

And Cheesie the poser muohohoho.
Seriously lo. Thinking back some 10 years ago, Seremban was absolutely ulu. Foie gras was never heard of, alfresco dining meant yamcha-ing in mamak, and night life was a pathetic mess. All we had were dodgy pubs and feng-tao discos.
If you have been to Seremban recently you will realize how drastically it has changed, especially with the latest development Era Square, which is considered the expansion of the existing Seremban town center. There will be a new shopping mall cum bus terminal opening soon called the Terminal 2. I still remember how we used to ponteng and lepak in Terminal One shopping mall! Wtf 12 years has passed just like that.

Era Walk, a place i’m going to visit very often from now.

There will be many more shop lots and yummy restaurants opening soon in Era Walk, including the famous Siew Pao and Seremban beef noodle shop. Some of the happening events will also take place in the boulevard like celebrity appearances, concerts, beauty pageants and fashion shows like the one i did some time ago.
I’m actually quite excited about the new development! More of a reason for me to go back to my not-so-ulu-now hometown more often!
