Chano Mama, Isetan Shinjuku

One of the most popular baby-friendly cafes in Tokyo is the one i have blogged about before (but haven’t visited), Chano Mama, located at 6F, Isetan Shinjuku.

In fact, baby-friendly is not really the accurate term to describe Chano Mama. It is a Baby Cafe, because without one, you are actually not really allowed to dine in.

So yea, it is a mama and baby heaven.

I went there with my mamatomo (mommy friend) Junna and her baby Ryoga.

So we are back for a month this time!

Other than a week in Hawaii, we actually have nothing planned (though the danna has to work most of the time), so it’s really just living a family life in Tokyo.

This time around things are quite different from last winter. Firstly it’s nearing summer so the weather is getting warmer and warmer (to be honest i actually prefer winter @.@). Secondly, Junya is almost 1 year old now, he is more active and mobile too so how i spend my time with him has also changed. read more

11. HARBS, Lumine Ikebukuro

RinRin was the first person who came to meet me up all the way at Lumine Ikebukuro! It’s just right across my apartment so it was really easy for me! (If i forget anything we could just go back to my place)

Harb is a chain cafe that serves light brunches and also cakes. They are baby-friendly, however we had to wait about 15 minutes as they only allocate certain seats for guests with strollers (so that it won’t be in the way). read more

You never expect that there are so much to do in a hotel!

I have previous blogged about the Keio Plaza Hotel’s Hello Kitty Room, this time around, it is all about foooood.

There are more than 20 restaurants and bars (!!!) in Keio Plaza Hotel, so you can expect an array of gourmet surprises during your stay in the hotel.

To be honest, during my 2-night-stay in Keio Plaza, i almost never went outside of the hotel (only to Isetan and Don Quijote nearby for shopping), and i had all my 3 meals in Keio Plaza daily.  It was almost like a relaxing resort holiday. I have introduced Oui, Ayano Ruban briefly last year, and this recent Japan trip i was invited to visit them again!

Oui, Ayano Ruban is a fashion brand in Omotesando, Tokyo, which concept is “Grown-Up Princess”. As you can guess, everything is frilly, girly and oh so sweet.

In February they had a special collaboration with Hello Kitty, and Kitty chan herself made a grand appearance at the shop in Omotesando!

With the signature Oui, Ayano Ruban Kitty in real life, she has a special huge bow on her head, so big that it covers her ears! She was also wearing a glittery frilly dress dotted with pink hearts <3 read more

I’m pausing the entries for family trip in Japan because i’m so excited to share my experience of staying in the Hello Kitty Rooms in Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku Tokyo!!

So i have been living my new mama life with Junya in Japan now for about two weeks.

Before we came to Japan i was really nervous and worried. He has just turned 6 months and is reaching a lot of new milestones, like getting more and more mobile, being more curious about the surrounding, having longer periods of waking time, and most importantly, has just started solid. We were there last year too (haven’t even blogged about it), and i really wanted to visit Disney in spring because it has the prettiest theme and the best weather! Also this is Junya’s first theme park debut lolol. Through my belly lolol.

Girly date was a date with the girl friends and romantic date is with the danna (what do you call dates with your husband??) but there’s zero romantic element in it unless you considered slut bars romantic wtf.

I miss Japan!! Many friends were visiting Tokyo at that time, and i really enjoyed hanging out with them, even though it’s going back to the same places again. Basically i could never ever ever get bored of Tokyo!

So few days laters Xiaxue and QiuQiu flew to Tokyo and we managed to meet up during dinner at one of the best sushi places in Ginza!

Haven’t seen them for soooo long since i last went to Singapore.
