Tokyo Life Summer 2016

August 5, 2016

#Tokyolife post!

Sakura’s second time to Tokyo ^^.

We usually take JAL from Changi airport late at night so that the kids can sleep all the way and the danna can go straight to work after landing instead of wasting one extra day on the flight. #workaholic

STAY

We stay at the same apartment but different room every time so it’s quite interesting to experience different kinds of sizes and layouts.

This time around we have a double (queen size) bed instead of a super single. Still it is really small so Junya ended up sleeping on the edge of the bed T_T. read more

My “KonMari” wardrobe makeover

April 30, 2016

Sooooo.

Everybody said that without a helper now, I will just have to put up with a messier house in exchange for a more peaceful state of mind and more family privacy. Which sounds like a fair trade off. After all our mental health is more important than a spot-free house! I thought long and hard about it. But there has to be a way that’s better than that. Why can’t I have it all??? I am a firm believer of having all your cakes and eat every single piece of it down to the last drop of fresh cream. read more

August 13, 2015

Have you seen this Totoro Cream Puff before?

Yesssssss. It’s #onlyinJapan.

Quite a few of my friends visited this little mysterious cafe so during my trip to Japan this early summer, i decided to drop by!

It’s getting late now (22:55. Yea i know. By my boring mom standard, it is late.) so it’s gonna be a captioned quick post! There’s a video at the end of the post, though, so hope it illustrates better! 🙂

Junya woke up in a super good mood that day <3 read more

Hello Kitty Cafe Restaurant: Yokohama

December 16, 2014

This is a bonus post from the #CheesieInKanagawa blog posts.

[You can read also Ep1: Yokohama,  Ep2: Miura, Ep3: Kamakura &Fujisawa, and Ep4: Hakone]

This Hello Kitty Cafe Restaurant is part of Yokohama’s experience, but it’s so awesome it deserves a separate blog post!

HKCR can be found in Motomachi, Yokohama.

I didn’t have a better and brighter photo because it was about 7pm when we visited the cafe. Before we came here, my local guide Iwate san told how it would be quite different from all the other Hello Kitty Cafes i’ve been to. I was so excited as this was the last stop before heading back to Haneda airport. And i am so so glad i made it there. read more

Hanami Birthday 2014

April 5, 2014

Every year my birthday wish is to be able to spend the day in Japan under the sakura with the people i ♡. It came true 3 years in a row.

2012’s birthday

2013’s birthday

3 years i get to see sakura in full bloom too! So… hint for you!!! If you wanna see sakura, come to Tokyo on my birthday lolol.

This year is extra awesome, because since many people took the hint, the entire KL and Singapore is in Tokyo during my birthday! Haih so busy i need to clone myself liao lolol.

So this year it’s pretty much the same. Danna took a day off for our date! In 2012 it was to Okinawa where i sort of, kind of, not really got proposed wtf. Last year was to Sendai as a married couple. read more

Living in Tokyo

March 13, 2014

This time i had to come back to Tokyo all by myself before the danna joins me later because i had to renew my residence visa before it expires. And i will be here for a month so i rented a small apartment and live like everyone else would in Tokyo.

The living spaces in Tokyo are miserable, but you get used to it. I was just mostly very very very very happy to get out of the whole haze situation in KL that had made me depressed and angry for a long time. All i wanted was to have the freedom of breathing some decent air and not feel like i’m  trapped indoor indefinitely. read more

i can’t breathe

December 2, 2008

my stomach is giving me a horrible lurch and i feel my hands trembling as i type and i can’t breath something enormous and solid is stuck in my chest and i think i’m gonna throw up. i think i’m having a panic attack.

i think i really jinxed it this time.

because i think,

i think.

fuck this is hard to type. i typed and then backspaced and then typed again and then backspaced again and then i am still typing now i think i’d rather be in denial than to face the inevitable disillusion. for now. read more

So like, tell us about your journey in MDG so far.

July 15, 2008

[diplomacy] Well, you know, it has to be the best thing ever happened in my life. Whether or not i win the title is not important to me, what matters most is that, you know, i’ve made a lot of new friends through the competition and they are the best true souls i could have ever met. They are really nice, like, you know, we get along well just like sisters. Bitching? What bitching. I will forever cherish the precious friendship we have nurtured throughout the two months. What? The car? Oh, i was never in it for the money. It’s all about the… you know, like the whole experiences and exposure kinda thing. I’ve learnt a great deal through this competition. Like, life in general, the A-Z about modelling. It has been really educational, we learnt how to watch our diet, like, can you believe that Spicy Chicken McDeluxe actually has more than 600 calories? and… a revelation on how much RM10 can buy in a meal, it made me get in touch spiritually with the hungry children in Africa. Of course there are difficult times, to illustrate, when we ran out of dish washing liquid, oh, the kitchen crisis! As well as the time we discovered 5 egg yolks in the dustbin, man, THE CHILDREN IN AFRICA, PEOPLE! So yea, in summary, i would say that this competition has, you know, enriched my life in so many ways. Oh yea, of course and most definitely i will hang out with all the girls after the show. Mwah and love ya all sistas! [/diplomacy] read more
