This post is all about the pure nature of Rovaniemi, where you can set on a journey of peace and calm. There are lots of excursions you can try in the summer time, here are some:
Hello! After along pause I’m back with my update on Rovaniemi!
This is a photo post as Yuria and I set on a journey with Beyond Arctic photography expedition to hunt for the best spots to capture the signature midnight sun, as you already know the sun never sets in mid summer in Rovaniemi!
Hello! Today Junya turns 4 years and 4 months old, and Sakura turns 2 years and 5 months old.
Both Cheesiepetits happily brush their teeth now (usually after some nagging or bribing), but I had a long history (2 years haha) of getting Junya to even let me stick a toothbrush into his mouth.
Yes yes yes we all have a million things we wanna do when we finally visit Japan!
What’s the first thing you wanna do the moment you set foot in this amazing land of the rising sun? Hunt for the best ramen in town! Start shopping until you drop right away! Go see famous sight seeing spots! Go up Tokyo Tower or Sky Tree!
Yeap yeap we are all very excited. But… there’s just one problem.
Hello! I brought Cheesiepetits to Bali for a 2-week-long resort holiday last month, and many people have been asking me how I pack for the kids when I travel, so here it is!
Ok I’ll be honest. When I was asked to review a wrist wear brand, I was a little hesitant. Frankly I’m not very much a watch person for several reasons.
1. I don’t feel a need for it. I’m glued to my smart phone and I won’t need a watch to tell the time.
2. I am very conscious about my skinny wrists. It’s extremely difficult to find a wrist-wear (including bracelets) that will look good on them.
3. I think good watches especially branded ones are very expensive and I don’t want to pay that kind of price for one.
And then I visited Knot Singapore, and I’ll be honest again.
I have fallen in love with watches for the first time in my life.
Hello! Today Junya turns 4 years and 3 months old, and Sakura turns 2 years and 4 months old.
Hi. It’s me. I’m still here.
Today this blog turns 14 years old. When I was 14, I had my period for the first time (I was SO relieved because I was the last girl in the class to get her period, I seriously thought I had some weird, inexplicable illness), and I also had a major crush on a boy for the first time.
Finland is the first new country I’ve been in the last 5 years.
I have probably flown more than 80 times in the last half decade with or without Cheesiepetits, but this was the first time that it was not (anywhere in) Japan, Bali, or Gold Coast. It was a new challenge. Maybe even the start of a new life I had been thinking about.
Given the chance of a lifetime to be a #RovaniemiSummerAmbassador, I had spent 6 full days in the official home of Santa Clause, experiencing the true Lappish nature and wilderness, under an almost eternal sunshine.
I’ll come to that more later on, but this blog post is on how to get to Rovaniemi, and where I ate and stayed!
Today I’m introducing one of my favorite airports in the world – Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport).
Living in Singapore for 3 years while traveling to Japan every so often makes me feel like I’m one of the luckiest people ever, because I’m commuting between the best two airports in the world! I depart from Changi, world’s No.1 airport which I love so so much, reach Haneda which is heaven for travellers, and come back again via these two world-class airports. It’s really having the best of both worlds. It also makes flying so much more enjoyable.
So here are the reasons why I love Haneda Airport:
