During my trip to Singapore last month, i was invited to Dinosaurs Live! at the Science Center Singapore!

It was really an eye-opener because the last time i was in touch with dinosaurs was probably during Jurassic Park. :X

I hardly ever go to exhibitions or science center but it made me feel like i was in school again! Checking out more than 50 amazing exhibits, learning their names all over again and understanding their species and they they went extinct.

Professor Lim, chief executive of the Science Center demonstrated a virtual dino baby, that reacts to your touch like a real pet! Everyone in the hall was just awwwwwwwing non stop. And i was really like I WANT ONE!!!!!

What is this?! So many people gathering around a poster on the ground!

It’s an augmented reality application apparently, where you can see dinosaurs pop up  from your iPad/iPhone and walk around, if you just point your camera on the postcards! You can download “Dinos Live!” app on the app store, to see the dinosaurs on the posters.

We were guided through the exhibitions, and all were amazed at how realistic the dinosaurs are! The environment that mimic an ancient rain forest was very well set up, which gives an almost live-dino Safari like experience!

All of the animatronic dinos are live sized and have textures that feels really scarily realistic, they move and breathe and make noise just like Jurassic Park!

They can even blink!!! I tried to touch the eyelid when this dino closed its eyes and i got creeped out by how genuine it felt >.<

For those who have little children, there’s a painting corner where you get to sketch, color and bring home pictures of cute dinosaurs for free! 😀

You actually get to RIDE a dino!!! And unlike other kid animal rides, this one doesn’t just glide or slither across. It lifts its legs and actually walk! I have no idea how they did that!

Unfortunately it is only for kids although i desperately wanted to get a feel of riding a dino >.<
