Lately i have been quite actively playing sports, and i must say that i’m quite good at it!!
The latest hobby is badminton actually, i have beaten almost 15 opponents just in one day !!
In fact i just paused my badminton championship battle just so i can write this blog post…
Actually it is just 3D Badminton.
How did you guess…
Haha! I’m hopeless in sports, even though the only real sports i’ve ever played is indeed badminton (when i was in primary school and you had to take up a sports extracurriculum. )
Up till just before i loved to KL, i still occasionally played badminton with my cousins, you would have known it when you look at the roof of our house lol.
And then work happened and i just completely forgot about it. Until, of course, the recent victory (silver is still a great achievement!) of Lee Chong Wei, and it got all hyped up again until i downloaded a Badminton app haha.
But if you are a real badminton player with real passion for it, here’s your chance to shine outside iPhones!
Have you heard of the Axiata Cup?
It is a renowned badminton league, which is also the world’s richest badminton championship because… The champion gets USD1,000,000!
Axiata Cup’s website:
Well it is really sort of a pity you and i didn’t practice earlier and become a batting professional isn’t it.
But! You can still join the badminton fever, with your chance to win amazing prizes too!
Here’s how:
Just submit a video of yourself displaying your unique badminton playing skills or other creative moves. The tagline is “Up Your Game”.
It could be anything general related to badminton, whether skill-based or non-skill based, as long as it ‘shows your passion’ and what would you do for the love of the game.
For example, you could try to play badminton in the dark, juggle the shuttle cock with the racket, return a smash blindfolded, etc.
Here’s a teaser video for your inspiration!
