Photos from two weeks of holiday in Queensland, Australia!
Pretty much sums up what we did the whole two weeks.
Danna: surf.
Me: turf.
Sea
It was his kind of holiday.
Sea, wave, a surfboard, lots of beer, and zero itinerary.
Every day a different beach, riding different waves.
I was never trained to be an outdoor person (i hate the sun >.<), but coming to Australia makes me slightly envious of how people here can just chill by the beach or park or go on a skateboard or scooter or surfboard and look like they have the whole world and want nothing else.
Me too spent countless of hours just staring at the sky/sea/turf.
Occasionally accepted the fate of sun, although i still cannot understand the whole joy of sunbathing in the heat.
And occasionally some surprises make it all worth it. Like surfing alongside a school of dolphins. Or even just witnessing and getting a good shot at it.
Sunset
The weather was mostly accommodating, and almost everyday we had a magnificent sunset.
Food
First meal.
Second meal.
By the third, the whole Asianness in me exploded. I would die for anything with rice in it.
And thank goodness for MOS burger.
$9 for 9 pieces Tuesday.
Sometimes we just go for really sinful food.
Only to make it up with the extreme.
And sort of became a pattern. Greasily battered fish & chips by the sea.
Then all-fruits and Nutrigrain. (My new fav cereal!!!!)
But eating out in Australia broke us (emotionally and economically).
Here’s what the danna bought XD
And when we got to Brisbane at last, we were famished with the craving for anything close to home. It was almost like a hunt for anything Asian/Japanese to fill our tummy.
The yum cha
Okonomiyaki at a Sunday market.
Okonomiyaki is probably the only Japanese food i can’t appreciate (don’t like the sauce often found in Kansai cuisine), but i had ALL OF IT and never felt so happy and blissful since i can’t remember when.
And then a Japanese family who hosted us made sashimi for dinner <3
And the danna would spend an hour on Google looking for Japanese restaurant review.
And i thank everyone who commented and gave me suggestions!
Most of the restaurant you guys recommended were awesome!
Brisbane
Cityscape
From Kangaroo’s Point
And the Beach-in-the-city concept is just too cool!!
Turfing for the danna since there’s no surfing.
Lone Pine Koala Santuary
Bah.
Dingo
“Mealbox”
Everybody wants to talk to the Kangaroo.
The bear
My way of saving $20 for a Koala-hug picture.

Gold Coast Australia is really a great getaway place. It is just like Kiama that holds many impressive beaches and accommodating hotels.n
Love the photos, the colors are so pretty. Don’t get me started on the MiGoreng noodle your hubby bought either. That stuff is disgustingly addictive!! Overall though, you look amazing as always. Loving the cover photo of you :)nntht-christina.blogspot.com
Those beaches look beautiful and my hubby also prefers a very laid back holiday 🙂 I laughed at the random guy in the back of one of your photos. And all of the food (even the cheap or healthy) looks delicious! Congrats on capturing such beautiful shots (like the sunset and dolphins) ♥
