It is not until recently that i discovered that shiso is edible.
You know the thin leaf beneath those fat juicy pieces of sashimi? At first i thought it was just a decoration.
Until one day i went to a Japanese restaurant with TK and he wrapped a piece of hamachi with the green thingie, dipped the whole thing in soy sauce and ate it.
I just went O.o and thought it was gross.
Then he told me that shiso is actually very nutritious and said that i should eat it too. T___T
Then i discovered that it is also very very expensive. I once went to Isetan and saw 4 pieces of shiso selling for RM5.90 or something. Walao. Don’t eat also cannot already because that’s probably the reason why sashimi is so expensive so must worth every cent ok. T_T
So now i’m trained to eat every single leaf of shiso T____T.
But i love shiso tempura!
What’s interesting is that, shiso is now used as a key ingredient in skin care to promote better complexion!
The Body Shop launches the Moisture White™ collection, a specialist collection of skin care whitening products containing the power of shiso to improve the appearance of dark spots and discolouration. So if you don’t like the taste of shiso, now you just apply it on your face! 😀
These are the four i got that suits my complexion.
The key ingredient, shiso extract has been especially chosen for this collection to reduce early melanin-making signals even before the hyperpigmentation process and melanin production cycle starts.
In short, shiso can help prevent uneven skin tone, brown spots and freckles.
I can has shiso goodness!
(Well the leaf is obviously Cheat One™ done by Photoshop because i am too kiam to buy it from the supermarket.)
(Okay maybe it is a bit too gigantic.)
This is more like it.
The products:
Moisture White™ Shiso Cleansing Powder RM 75
I have used oil/gel/milk based cleanser, but powder form is the first!
Just mix it with water, lather up.
Then apply on face.
I like the fact that how i can use it as a mild exfoliation everyday! Just massage gentle on the face and it will remove dead skin cells and impurities without drying the skin.
Moisture White™ Shiso Moisturising Essence II RM85
Since my skin is dry, Shiso Moisturising White™ Essence ll is suitable for me! It helps skin look brighter, more radiant and feel soft, moisturised and supple.
Moisture White™ Shiso Whitening Serum RM109
Then apply this to reduce dark spots and uneven skin tone. Blend gently onto skin for an invisible and non-sticky treatment that helps skin look translucent and skin feel soft and supple, hydrating for up to 12 hours.
Mositure White™ Shiso Whitening Moisture Milk RM95
The new Moisture White™ Shiso Whitening Moisture Milk is the option to moisturise your skin throughout the day.
I like the milky soft texture of it and its fast absorbency!
.
.
.
Since shiso is vastly used in Japan, The Body Shop carried out testing of the Moisture White™ collection on women in Japan to ensure the range meets strict Japanese regulations and whitening standards. These user trials has shown to whiten dark spots and freckles and provide skin brightening benefits.
Apart from the 4 products i have mentioned, they also have other products of the same range including eye serum, foundation, night treatment, etc.
So now that you have read my entry, let me tell you that The Body Shop banners will appear in certain blogs that serve Nuffnang ads.
An example ^^
Just take a screenshot and print it out to enjoy RM10 off any product from The Body Shop Moisture White™ Shiso range in any The Body Shop!
