I am sorry to burst your bubbles but it was very obvious that Dr M was merely being cynical. Notice the laughter in the background. I look at the Youtube comments and I realised many can’t read between the lines. Hello sarcasm anyone? Damn.
This is typical Tun’s cynical and sarcastic reply to a question that anwar was captured without any evidences. You gotta read (err.. hear?) between the lines when politicians say something
I’m more intrigued to see the later part of the clip… Our leader who sleeps.. hmmm..
i concur with waifon and timo. it’s quite obvious that it was a sarcastic remark. i’d say this kinda comments don’t just appear in politics. if you think about it properly, it happens in everyday life too. it’s about reading the subtle signs behind what’s said rather than its face value.
the last clips of our Prime Minister closing his eyes were captured when he was feeling tired. I mean if i attend these kind of long talks or presentation….i will be like that too ;p
That doesnt mean he didnt work hard for the country. All the good things he did was not shown.

As much as it is a sarcastic remark, try listening again carefully at what he’s trying to say about the “current” political issue. Which doesn’t include him or Anwar in it…
when this happened years ago, i was informed by a reliable source that mahathir did it because apparently anwar had plans to overthrow mahathir from his prime minister position. so before all that could happen, mahathir threw anwar into jail.
i didnt believe the information in the past but this video only confirms it. *shrugs*
and btw claudine, besides wanting to overthrow Mahathir, anwar was prepared to sell Malaysia if you know what i mean.. harping back to the ‘97 financial crisis.. the clue is there..
