It all started on this fateful afternoon, the day the wild monster inside me was unleashed and as it stood before me, demanded that her desperate cry be heard.
So on 25th June 2007, i brought another monster home.
It was the most adorable monster i’ve ever seen.
This little creature and i, from that day onwards, became inseparable. I named her Cheddie.
She had these cute pointy ears up until she was about four months old. A lot of people commented that she could not be a pure Maltese because Malteses never have pointy ears.
Then her ears dropped and blossomed into full fluffy flutters.
I brought her out for walks.
I brought her out on dates.
Some are shy and quiet and some are overly friendly.
I taught her tricks with yummy treats.
Days go by and my Cheddie grew into a gorgeous girl.
I took good care of her and her fur was white and beautiful.
Sometimes spoiling her a bit too much…
I know she missed me tremendously while i was away…
She still weighs an impressive amount of 2kg as an adult dog.
And today, Cheddie turns 1 year old.
Mommy loves you very much even if you’re botak.
And guess what?! Cheddie’s just had her first heat!!
She’s now officially a grown up girl. And now my Princess Maltese is entitled to occasional flings and ONS. I’ve decided to mate her in the future. So i’m looking for a prospect in law. Pure male Maltese only. Please send resume over along with a handsome photo.

Happy Birthday Cheddie! I’ve two malteses, girl and boy, but not for breeding. Was overly traumatised seeing pictures of a female malt giving birth, and heard that its temperment changed after birth. And then scary stories of mummy dogs going crazy and neurotic after the babies were taken away from them…

omg i think better not mate cheddie!! i am very TRAUMATISED after seeing this awful dog who mated so many times there were all the *tits* hanging out so uglyfully.
my dog refuses to do any tricks once i bring him treats wtf! like he will refuse to do anything and just follow the treats. so in the end also cannot teach him -.- cheddie is soo smart!

hey.. a question ive been meaning to ask for a super-duper long time! how do you keep cheddie’s fur so white and how do you stop cheddie’s tear stains?!
my poodle really needs to know hehe. and are you serious about the mating? a friend of mine has a maltese just like cheddie! the male version of course. ^__^

Cheesie: Just make sure you clean her face everyday, and avoid eating wet food (which my mom doesn’t heed anyway), but yea i guess i’m lucky cuz Cheddie is really easy to take care of. She used to have tear stain prob when she was younger but as she grows older it got better.

hey i think you shldnt mate her, cause the nippples really will sag. my schnauzer just gave birth one yr ago, and its stil sagging. instead i think you should sterilize her. cause i went to a vet, and they said if females dogs dont undergo sterilization, they are more prone to breast cancer. and they leave longer if they are virgins and sterilized! just a suggestion for you girl

Very cute dog, but if you decide to breed her please be responsible about it and make sure you do your homework - as in not just reading books but also talking to other people who have more experience raising puppies, and get your vet to check if she’s healthy and physically mature enough. And pay attention to medicines, vaccines, etc. I went to a talk at the school of vet medicine where I work yesterday and heard a horror story about some stupid breeder who killed their puppies by giving them an intranasal vaccine by injection.
Personally I’m not a small dog fan…I like cats and big dogs. But you look like you’re doing a good job with yours.

Aiyorrrr….too bad my baby boy is here in Sydney with me and not in KL…if not, he & cheddie can be such good pal!!
