my name is slowly disappeaRing

February 6, 2009

is my MSN nick (and this is a pointless post).

This is like the, spur of the moment kind of thing. Something you feel like doing but dunno why kind of thing.

I think i am slowly melting away.

This is an official announcement. Please do not call me Ringo anymore.

My name has melted to Ring. Or Rin. I can’t decide. Seems like the shorter the better.

Because i got sick of explaining my name to people. Especially to Japanese people.

(Once and for all, please do not ask me this again) In Japanese Ringo means apple. TK calls me Ring because he prefers my real name, which ends with “Ling”. And you know the missing pronounciation of L in Japanese so everything with L becomes R. Hence the name Ring. Then again in Japanese character there’s no such thing as a G ending so it’s literally Rin in writing. りん。Geddit? (Ok nvm.) read more

I wonder how would she look all covered up!! Cannot imagine it!

I’m feeling very ambivalent towards Rihanna to be honest. Some of her songs i like reallllly a lot and some i hate with a passion. Especially when they get overplayed to the max. They get stuck in your head like UHU. And you will be like, okay i think i have had enough of her songs that’s gonna last me for maybe 8209137 life times. So annoying until you refuse to turn on the radio just because she is simply omnipresent and you just wanna go please stop the music please stop the music music music… read more

What i want for Valentine’s

February 3, 2009

Since i have talked about what TK would like for Valentine’s, how bout what i might like! 😀 (*hint hint hint hint*)

Most of the things i want won’t be available locally though but that’s not an excuse! One can always buy them online from USA, UK and Japanese websites using vPOST., have it delivered to his home address and surprise the girl friend when they are having their romantic Valentine’s candle-lit dinner. Hehe.

I would want to have one of these (i’m not greedy one!). read more

Camwhore Japanese style 101

February 2, 2009

Everyone knows the kawaii way. Just randomly go to some girl’s blogs and you will see 99 pictures of the same pose and same expression that will make really good Spot The Difference game.

But i have met someone who is the master of all camwhoreness. All bimbos pale in comparison. This person can come up with 100 difference poses and 100 different expressions in 10 shots. And this person is not even a girl.

He is Yuuri.

He is really shy, soft spoken, obedient. He has become one of my favorite people in this world. He is irresistably adorable. But when camera is pointed to him, he is like a Lycan exposed to  full moon. read more

Japanese Toilet

January 30, 2009

is what the whole world needs.

Nah. Toilet post on demand. Reader Yan said  si = choy (shit = fortune) so it should be lucky to blog about it during CNY wor.

japanesetoilet6 by you.

There are two types of toilets in Japan. One is the Washiki (和式), traditional Japanese squat-toilet, and the other type is Youshiki (洋式)-modern toilet.

Today we will talk about the modern toilet. There are a few special features on their toilets. Some makes them one of the best things ever created for human and some are just plain bizarre. read more

Gochisosama

January 28, 2009

This is like a semi private entry, a food log of all the nice things i have tried during my Japan trip. Because it’s pretty boring (i post it just for my own reference. It’s nice memories), and some of the pic not too great, and way too many pictures, so i’m breaking this entry into two parts. In case everyone gets tulan while waiting for the pix to load.

You not sien meh?

January 27, 2009

Who the hell created CNY? I’m so bored. T_T

All my friends are also bored to different levels of death but we cannot do anything because we are like, all in different kind of places. Some sien in KL. Some sien in JB. Some sien in Kuching. And i’m sien in Seremban.

I finished reading American Gods. Now i’m feeling very disturbed. I try to blog abit and i find myself writing like him. I try to not get angry watching some of the local crap shows. Seriously, how do these artists survive when they only sing a few tong tong chiang songs every Chinese New Year? Then i realized i cannot not get irritated. So i try not to watch them after all.  read more

Happy Niu Year

January 25, 2009

I had to resist the temptation to type “Merry Christmas” into that title box. God knows I have been doing it for how many years already. But i reckoned i have to stop being so delusional!

And i’m listening to “It’s Snowing Slowly” by Starlite Chamber. Neh, the one in Oli’s video you all say very touching one. And i heard it snowed a lot a lot in Nara yesterday.

Talking about song, you know i listened to Eva Cassidy’s Songbird 37 times yesterday?  It’s a soundtrack from Love Actually. And i thought it sounded really familiar, but couldn’t make out which scene it is from. So i spent half an hour searching Youtube for it, and found out it is when Sarah and Karl’s intimate scene in the apartment! That’s my fav fav fav scene of Rodrigo Santorooooomgheissohot. You can watch it here.   read more

Japan Homestay

January 23, 2009

I know many of my readers are a little confused about my Japan trip. How come i get to travel to so many places and stay for so long? I feel the need to explain a little and also because many people have asked and i have not had the time to replied. Now once and for all.

It was like this. On the 16th December 2008, i went on a homestay program to Nagano for one week, and then joined the rest of the homestay students at Disneyland on the 23th, which is the last day of our Japan homestay. But i took a night bus from Disneyland all the way down to Nara, and stayed with TK for another 3 weeks, before my visa expired. read more

I Toblerone U

January 21, 2009

This year’s Valentine’s. Two different countries. 7 hours flight is impossible so it’s gonna be a virtual Valentine’s. I don’t go like all sappy about it la because we don’t just go mushy mushy only on Vday. Like i said so many times before, romantic dinners and cheesy movies and roses are so overrated, and what you haven’t taken into account is long queues and traffic jam and overly packed restaurants. Not romantic at all.

So i am going to send a virtual gift to him! Shhh! read more
