Blah of the Day–Lame-Cheese-up-lines Chowder

October 21, 2004

I’m still trying figure out why some guys are so incapable of coming up with creative cheese-up lines nowadays.

I don’t know if this happens to you but I often receive some sms’es from strange numbers which, without fail, read “Hi (or hie, hello), can we be friends (fren/ frens/ a fren, depends on his grammar culture)?”.

Then my reply would be “who (the cheese, depends on my mood) are you?”

Check out their replies.

25 ways to confuse people in the computer lab

October 20, 2004

1. Log on, wait a sec, then get a frightened look on your face and scream
“Oh my God! They’ve found me!” and bolt.

2. Laugh uncontrollably for about 3 minutes & then suddenly stop and look
suspiciously at everyone who looks at you.

3. When your computer is turned off, complain to the monitor on duty that
you can’t get the damn thing to work. After he/she’s turned it on, wait
5 minutes, turn it off again, & repeat the process for a good half hour.

4. Type frantically, often stopping to look at the person next to you evilly. read more

Blah of the day–Cream of Sighs

October 19, 2004

Cream of Sighs

“One of the things that make me happy is the sight of so many different colours, heights and shapes screaming, clapping, and shouting.

“What a happy lot they are. To me, it is an indication that they are happy here,” said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Badawi in Limkokwing University College Technology in Cyberjaya Monday.

(Quoted from Star Education, 17 October, 2004.)

Yeah right, dear PM. We screamed becaused we needed to do something that would prevent us from getting bored to death. read more

Cheese on Mozzie!

October 16, 2004

Cheese on!

You know what, I started to believe that no news is good news. There’s not much (bad) things happening these days so the good news is I don’t need to dengan penuh emosinya (quoted from Mozzarelly C., 2004) write, okay, type, till I feel like vomit blood.

But come to think of it in another contradictory perspective, bad news is actually good news. Why? Because im a journalist! I mean, people just don’t write good stuff as dengan penuh emosinya(DPE) as bad/sad stuff. Let say you’re happy today you would say “I am so happy today!” , or maybe, “I am so, so, so, happy today!”. But if you are disappointed, sad, angry, desperate, betrayed, cheesed-off, whatever, you can go on and on and on… You just don’t see people write a compliment to the government as brilliant and as DPE as a complaint to, say, just LUCT. And why are most of the award-winning songs and lyrics are written at the time of heartbrokenness? So in a way bad things prompt people to write. Okay, type. The “badder” the thing is, the better you can write. read more

Pinkylicious

October 12, 2004

I don’t see a problem out of having an affair with pinks. I have (almost) everything in pink, ranges from lip glosses, sweaters, sneakers, cardigans, hair bands, earrings, crystals, Baby-Ts, bikinis, pouches, bags, wallet, to hand phone casing, car accessories, to yahoo avatar and blog layout.

Quote:
She’s the world PINK icon. Her car is full of pinks, her wardrobe I imagine, is also full of pinks, her brain is probably pink in color, her mood is always pink, her hair is soon going to be pink, and I don’t know what else she will think of next. Thank goodness her car isn’t pink. YET. (Chen, M. C., 2004, para. 6) read more

Traumatized by Taegukgi

October 8, 2004

Muddy Eye Candy…
(I had an uncontrolable urge to entitle this entry “Taegukgized” but the thought of abusing “ilization” and “ilizing” everything makes me shudder, not to mention the potential disgust of others. So i will just leave it behind.)

Honestly, I wished I hadn’t watched Taegukgi, cause I feel as if I’ve just gone thru a major mental trauma.

Tuesday afternoon, knowing that Korean flick is gonna be outta cinema soon, I bugged Mozzerelly to go watch with me before it was too late. Yeah, there will always be pirated vcds, but by no means a 29 inches box can beat a few-metres-wide screen. And you feel more comfortable to cry in the dark, by the way. read more
