DKNY3 by you.

DKNY2 by you.

Wa like a snowglobe!! Can see the refection of my whole room so cool! (Yes i’m aware of the bad manicure). This fresh blossom scent is really growing on me, and i’m really in love with the cute, pink, multipurpose bottle. :P

Tana Toraja

May 10, 2009

The most interesting place in South Sulawesi. This is the place we drove like godknowshowmanyhours to witness a funeral. We were hoping somebody would die but luckily/unluckily no one did. So.

tanatoraja1

Traditional Torajan houses.

The Torajans have a very interesting view of death. Unlike other parts of the world where death is mostly a taboo, death here is as important, if not more, than life itself. It is never a sad nor morbid occasion.

They keep (mummified) corpses in their house and sleep next to it. Death also have a significant reflection on one family’s status wealth. When a Torajan dies the family of the deceased should provide tens of buffaloes and pigs (they are mostly Christians) for the ceremony. And only the rich upper class can afford such funeral. read more

Cat Eyes

May 8, 2009

Make-up post again!

Today we’re feeling the feline. Very dramatic, sexy cat-like eye make up.

cateyes by you.

#1

Of course the first step to the gorgeous huntress eyes are color lens in cat-like sapphire.

#2

The base eyeshadow is actually shimmery grey-ish turqoise.

#3

Blend it with a darker shade. I used a mistletoe-ish green but comes out very blue here.

#4

The next step is very crucial. To mimic the seductive feline-like peepers, eye-liner has to be dramatic. Line following the natural curve precisely, then subtly slant upward, carrying out the line as far as you like. Here i chose a thinner liner. Of course you can go for the chunky winged shape for a more dramatic look. Remember to line the lower lid as well, slant it upward at the edge to to join the upper liner. read more

Tomato in the Currybean.

May 4, 2009

After Cheeso’s spooky encounter with the Chipster Ghosts two years ago, she has decided to take her adventure one step further. She emerged back on the earth and reincarnated herself as a sailor in the sea of Currybean.

chipstertomato1 by you.

Her sole and purposeful mission is to search for the best secret ingredient in order to perfect the recipe for a soup that is to be served to the almighty Curry King.

The story begins with Captain Cheeso looking out for the legendary treasure box. Inside, it is said to contain the most powerful ingredient to a perfect curry that will make the most macho King swoon with love. read more

Lazy weekend

May 4, 2009

Had the most unproductive long weekend ever. But fulfilling. It’s weird, cuz all i did was sleep and watch plenty of DVDs and play Desktop TD Pro again all day, and i won!!! And watched X-Men Origins:Wolverine! So happy cuz the whole film focused on Wolverine!!! It was quite good, but all owes to Hugh JackhandsomeMan of course, without which the movie would have been marginally atrocious.

Everything seemed to be against my blogging. Laptop not fixed, then blog doesn’t work. When blog finally works, internet is shit. When internet is finally back up (after restarting my modem like one hundred quillion times), Flickr doesn’t load. read more

Loooooong journey

April 28, 2009

After staying up till late in our hotel room waiting for our hair to dry (because no hair dryer),  we had to wake up early the next day to continue our journey.

tanahberu1 by you.

This is Tanjung Bira, the White Sand Beach.

A few kilometres away is this boat making place. I thought it was like a proper boat factory or something we were gonna visit, but no.

tanahberu3 by you.

Just like that. A wooden tent covered with dried leaves and a huge boat in making inside.

tanahberu2 by you.

This place is crazy. The whole freaking boat is hand-made using the traditional way. There’s no technical drawing or masterplan for the boat, they do everything according to their sailor instict. They feel the boat. read more

Makassar

April 26, 2009

Oh Makassar, Makassar.

makassar by you.

Landed at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. See i so kalerful.

Again it was a FAM trip sponsored by the Indonesia Embassy and Air Asia to promote this new tourist destination in Indonesia, hopefully it would be a popular and well visited spot in the near future, like how everybody is going to Krabi now when i hadn’t even know it existed just 2 years back.

makassar4 by you.

Makassar is the capital of South Sulawesi. It is hardly a popular tourist place, hence the rather miserable journey. I have only been to one destination in Indonesia and that is Bali. Makassar is nothing like Bali. read more

Murasaki

April 22, 2009

Like i said i’m pretty addicted to purple lately! I wanted to do another make-up post but i don’t have much time! So just a few pictures of my purple make-up. ^^

purple1 by you.

Omg i have found the perfect contact lens! I bought it from Taipei, it is called Max Max, very very cheap, only RM30 or so. And it is sooooo comfortable and it looks much more mesmerizing than any other brands i’ve ever used. I love it.  But then again, i don’t know if you can get it here. Good luck!

dose of urbanity

April 21, 2009

I ran a looooooong, instensive, profoundly comprehensive shower ( i would love a bath or an ofuro session, but i don’t have it at home) that involved loofah, spa-quality shower gel, body scrub, bath sponge, complete with different types of body lotion and moisturizing cream thereafter.

I swear i saw grey water running down my feet.
