Dinner of the day

September 30, 2005

I just so wanna blog about food.
I had a heavy lunch in the afternoon, so i thought of going for something light. And found this little cafe called the Departure Lounge hoping for some salad or sandwhiches. Anyway, as its fancy name suggests, it has a concept which definitely gets all the attention.

The decor is minimal and clean. It works with the travelling concept. It has several book shelves, all full of travel guides for most of the popular contries. They have these little bookmarks resemble a boarding pass that you can take home. The cafe also covers wifi, and provides free internet access. read more

Cable phobia

September 30, 2005

I have a new phobia already. It is called the cable phobia.
Whenever i see a cable now i cringe. Whenever i need to buy something that needs electric to function, i will pray that some one please wirelessify the whole universe.

Now, my tiny room, which i took a whole day to clean up 90% mess, still looks extremely in a mess, thanx to all my adorable cables. I have three cable extensions, each has four sockets. I think i need yet another, soon.

Check these cute cables out:

☆。Cable 1 connects an extension from extension 1 of the main power source on the wall.
☆。Cable 2 connects to another extention from extension 1 of the main power source on the wall.
☆。Cable 3 connects to my table lamp from extension 2.
☆。Cable 4 connects to my dear Commie Sony Vaio from extension 2.
☆。Cable 5 connects to my Webbit wireless (damn why is it called wireless when it still needs a cable) device to extension 2.
☆。Cable 6 connects to my teddy humidifier from extension 2.
☆。Cable 7 connects to my hair dryer from extension 3.
☆。Cable 8 connects to my camera charger from extension 3. read more

Lunchie of the day

September 30, 2005

Instead of cheese, im doing a lunch review today. Fresh from my stomach! LOL. But this time no simultaneous tasting and typing.

Just came back from Chikusen, the newly opened japanese restaurant in Aman Suria. So happy there are so many nice restaurants opened near my place. Need not travel that far for good food next time.

Anyway, this is a dainty little one. However i think it is a little overpriced for a restaurant. Chikusen and Eyuzu (Eastin) and Genji (PJ Hilton), as far as price goes, they are on a par. read more

Aloha Langkawi

September 27, 2005

Honestly, the Langkawi trip has ALMOST been a disaster.

First of all, we made the biggest mistake by choosing the wrong hotel. Well, not like we had a choice though, cuz everything was pre-arranged by the agency as we didn’t have a say on a free tour anyway. So. We stayed at this resort called Langkasuka, which at first i was happy to know that it’s only 5 mins away from the airport. But later we found out the airport is the only place it is near to. It is blurdie far from EVERYWHERE ELSE. read more

Green Cheese Monster

September 20, 2005

I am a green cheese monster. A fluorescent one.

The other day went for cheese fondue with Annie and her sister. Her sis Alice is a real sweetie. She’s not just friendly and fun, she even offered to buy me a mini frangelico. But when i saw the way Annie and Alice talked to each other, i felt envious. I know its crazy. They talk about things only sisters talk about. Such as how their grandma thought thier mom was sot-soted when she moved like an octopus along Gwen Stefanie’s new song while she was driving. And how thier mom describe herself as a druggie after sixty odd pokes on her stomach and thighs for slimming purpose. And how their grandma cheesingly reacted to the best chee cheong fun they bought for her in Cheras. read more

Cheese(s) of the day #3

September 19, 2005

I’ve been rather cheeseless these days really. So i decided to have a compensation by going to ikano and raid down the cheese aisle. And i’ve got 3 cheeses in my trolly. =)))

Arla Harvati Cheese (Sliced)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Brand: Arla
Product Name: Danish Havarti
Availablity: Cold Storage
Price: RM13.39
Country: Denmark
Milk: Cow
Texture: Semi-soft

Oh! I didnt know Danish cheeses are Holy too! It has irregular pin-holes.
Havarti is creamery and semi-soft. At first bite it tastes uncannily similar to mozzarella. But when u chow down more, you will find it slightly less chewy but it has a more distictive flavor than mozza. And yes, it melts!! Great on toasts, or in between. Simple and sweet. Ok, not quite literally. read more

Bubble bath

September 11, 2005

I own a bath tub for more than a year but today is the first, ever day i actually sat and soaked in a looooong, aromatic bubble bath.

I know I know, why have a bath tub when you dont use it right? The problem is, i was sooo lazy to get the bath tub hole a plug so the water just wont stay. It took me one whole blurdie year to get that blurdie plug so that i can have a bath tub full of water with 10 drops of camomile essntial oil added inside and pink rose petals floating blissfully…

Ok fine. Drop the petals. read more
