Nagasaki 2013 Part 2!

Part 1 HERE.

Anyway, when it comes to Nagasaki, it automatically means live squid eyeball.

This time nobody shove the eyeball into my mouth. Probably they are very rude and don’t care about us.

After that it ended up in our plate again, this time sun-tanned.

What is Nagasaki without sashimi so fresh it is still moving. Was so so so good.

BREAKFAST

Our breakfast at the hotel is amaaaaazing.

Nagasaki food is very much influenced by Chinese culture, so there’s the famous sara udon (the one like HongKong Yee Mee), sweet and sour prawn, xiao long bao, etc etc! Everything was so yummy!

In the afternoon we went to the Spectacle Bridge (Meganebashi) for a walk. There are a bunch of young school girls, just like what you see in J drama long time ago.

So beautiful!

There are also lots of tortoises and Koi in the river.

Also, i have posted this on Instagram already, but can you spot the heart stone? ๐Ÿ˜€

I found it :3

Although it was a little potong steam cuz when i was there i saw a bunch of students excitedly gathering around the rocks so i knew where it was immediately.

But the bonus is there are a few more less discovered heart stone somewhere else along the bridge. If you are interested. ๐Ÿ™‚

SNACK

This is Chirin Chirin!!! (The name comes form the sound an ice-cream bike makes!)

The one i’m having is Castella flavor!

There are a few vendors, but this vendor at Spectable Bridge really makes the most beautiful rose shape. I am so impressed! There isn’t even any special tool to do it, instead of a scoop, he just uses a spatula do shape the rose ice cream.

It was one of our must-have in Nagasaki.

DINNER.

Abalone sashimi

Lots of different sashimi again!

Nagasaki has the freshest fish!

Ikura sushi roll!

SUPPER.

No wrong. ๆฒก้”™ใ€‚After dinner, which we ordered lighter food on purpose, we went for supper. We had to maximize our stomach space for ALLLLLLL the good food in Nagasaki in that short two-day stay!

ODEN ODEN ODEN.

Gyoza (dumpling) is also very popular in Nagasaki due to the Chinese culture influence.

Grilled liver.

LUNCH (next day)

What else but…

ODEN AGAIN!!!

It is one of our fav oden shop in Japan, and actually it is a Ramen shop called Shianbashi Ramen. Also probably the most famous in Japan because Fukuyama Masaharu goes there very often.

(he is from Nagasaki, and apparently was the senior in the same school as the danna)Screen Shot 2012-11-22 at 7.43.19 PMScreen Shot 2012-11-22 at 7.43.19 PMScreen Shot 2012-11-22 at 7.43.19 PMScreen Shot 2012-11-22 at 7.43.19 PMScreen Shot 2012-11-22 at 7.43.19 PM

The wall is full of his siggies!!!

I love him so much! Just watched his new movie Soshite Chichi Ni Naru, was a very very good movie. Hope i bump into him next time la.

And then we had the famous Bakudan Ramen (literally Bomb Ramen) in that shop. The white chunk of topping is garlic paste. After this meal, though, Edward Cullen also faints when he smells you.

Anyway, to make Nagasaki more special…

Found a Malaysian restaurant!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

It is the only Malaysian restaurant in teh entire Kyushu!

Chef is also from Malaysia ๐Ÿ˜€

Wanna try it next time.

Nagasaki’s garbage separation system.

The city view.

Before we went back to Tokyo, as usual, we packed the danna’s father’s bento for dinner. <3

And then we saw the most beautiful sunset ever.

#nofilter.

And i love this city beyond words.
