#100tokyo II

May 12, 2014

Part 1 here

Some pictures are stolen from Qiu’s blog so if you see me looking extra chio then it’s her editing XD.

So few days laters Xiaxue and QiuQiu flew to Tokyo and we managed to meet up during dinner at one of the best sushi places in Ginza!

Haven’t seen them for soooo long since i last went to Singapore.

All excited to see the babybump in real life lol.

Trying to fake their bumps too lolol.

Waiting for our sushi dinner!

Both Qiu and Xiaxue aren’t as crazy adventurous like me when it comes to raw food so they mostly have aburi (torched) sushi. But i must still give it to them for trying everything! read more

What’s better than being selected as the ambassador for the tourism project of your favorite country?

Promoting Japan tourism is like my life calling so it’s really cool that finally i’m doing it officially for Cool Japan, a project by Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI).

Sorry this post is like 2 months outdated, but during my stay in Tokyo, i spent a few days with other Cool Japan ambassadors from other countries like Taiwan and Thailand. They also invited QiuQiu and Xiaxue from Singapore but we had different schedule but i was so happy to meet them in some mutual activities and events! read more

New Life

May 7, 2014

“You will pack me to your new haos?”

Anyway.

Boring haos update again. It’s really 没完没了. The moment i finished vacuuming for one hour, the ikea people came and all my effort went down the drain T_____T.

Also i haven’t updated anything substantial (if there was ever anything like that) on blog/instagram for days simply because there was nothing interesting to talk about. I dress like a contractor every day running sweaty errands non-stop. I’m not very sure if any of you want to hear about me applying for apartment cooking gas or look at the picture of my new broom. read more

moving haos

May 3, 2014

So we finally moved in to our new place!

As soon as we came back from Japan there were a million things to take care of, i was occupied to a new level i never thought i was possible to reach, especially 8 months pregnant.

And actually lost weight for moving around so much.

Our entire life in cartons.

So after one week of crazy packing we finally made the big move. There isn’t even much furniture cuz we were in such a hurry to move in first.

I was also totally oblivious to the whole Chinese Pantang thing (until someone reminded me about it and i was like oh yea hor), where you cannot move house when you are pregnant. Wait, not just cannot move house, but if i remember correctly you are not allowed to move any furniture or even decorate your bedroom wall or something like that. Every time i told the danna about all these Chinese superstitions he will just look at me like this read more

Casio EXILIM ZR1200

April 26, 2014

I know i know. I never thought a camera could be such a craze until people have to line up for it. Anyway everyone knows about Casio TR15 and those who don’t would want one, baaaadly (yes i have one myself!).

But today i’m introducing another camera from Casio, which is EXILIM ZR1200. At half the price of a TR15, i was super amazed by what it can do!!

It is available in pink, yellow, black and white. And i got the one in pink!

I’ll just let the photos do the talking. I brought my pink ZR1200 to Japan, and i was so so so glad i did because here are the amazing photos i took. read more

Pregnant Mom Get-together!

April 18, 2014

Preggo mamas need friends! I’m inviting those of you who are pregnant too to come for a sharing session with me!

Okay, more on that later.

Anyway, i realized i haven’t updated much on baby news! I have never been busier after coming back from Japan. There’s a whole month worth of work to catch up with, i gotta start preparing for the big day when the baby arrives, and most of all i’m busy with moving to a more spacious house!!!

All these happening at the same time is really making me fully occupied everyday that i don’t even have time to worry or whine about any pregnancy woes (huh, what stretch marks? Deal with that later!). read more

Sakura and all things pink III

April 15, 2014

Sakura year 2012

Sakura Year 2013

And…. this year’s version. Just got back from Japan, finally settled down a little (with house still full of unpacked luggages omg), and i’m here to annoy you right away.

想我有这么容易放过你吗。

Needless to say, April is my absolute favorite month to visit Japan, not only i get to have an excuse to buy myself a birthday present (air tickets to japan), the whole country is also in-your-face-pink. Even people who hate pink, too bad, you just have to accept your fate, there’s no escape lolol. read more

KIEI TOKYO

April 12, 2014

Today i am going introduce yet another Japanese fashion website that delivers worldwide!

I’m sure one of the biggest woes for Japanese fashion lover overseas is the trouble of buying and shipping from online stores. The procedure is long and usually you end up paying a lot extra for all the shipping/concierge services.

kieitokyo.com

KIEI TOKYO is not your usual mass fashion market. It is a new webstore that features various up and coming Japanese designers with their creative pieces.

There are several categories you can choose from, depending on your style of fashion, and once you order your items, they will ship it directly to you, and you pay the same retail price as in Japan,(during promotion, they even offer free worldwide shipping!!) Shopping for Japanese fashion has never been more worth it! XD read more

Preggo Coordinate Cheat One™

April 8, 2014

Here’s a photo collection of all the coordinates during my trip in Tokyo so far! It’s a month’s worth so it’s really the biggest collection ever (wa talk until like big fashion show like that lol). It’s quite amazing how when you come to Japan, you won’t even think about slacking for even one day and just go no-make with anyhow-outfit. Cuz the fashionable people on the streets won’t allow you to even think about doing so lol.

Also i’m getting larger by day (sometimes really overnight) some of the clothes i brought here in the beginning don’t even fit anymore lol. Perfect excuse to shop for even more clothes! read more

Hanami Birthday 2014

April 5, 2014

Every year my birthday wish is to be able to spend the day in Japan under the sakura with the people i ♡. It came true 3 years in a row.

2012’s birthday

2013’s birthday

3 years i get to see sakura in full bloom too! So… hint for you!!! If you wanna see sakura, come to Tokyo on my birthday lolol.

This year is extra awesome, because since many people took the hint, the entire KL and Singapore is in Tokyo during my birthday! Haih so busy i need to clone myself liao lolol.

So this year it’s pretty much the same. Danna took a day off for our date! In 2012 it was to Okinawa where i sort of, kind of, not really got proposed wtf. Last year was to Sendai as a married couple. read more

Mankai

March 31, 2014

Quick update!

Sakura is coming to full bloom starting today in Tokyo!

I want to do this every year.

Every place i go where there’s sakura, people always slow down and stop by, whip out their phone, take pictures after pictures, sighing to each other how beautiful it is as if they see it for the first time in their life.

The power of sakura.

All my friends who are coming to Tokyo soon are getting super nervous about whether they could catch the full bloom in time or not. Indeed it is really unpredictable and fragile! It makes a big difference if you just miss it by a week, or have rainy/windy day. read more
