Mentaiko Expert

March 31, 2009

is my calling. I knew it.

It took me just ONE (1, ichi, satu, yat, yi) day, to perfect the fineness of  the  mentaiko dream dish.

morementaiko by you.

This time, it tasted like rice (although still abit watery, but you could call it, rice.) (Or at least watery rice, instead of porridge. No doubt.) (Or so i hope.)

It’s called the Ocean Dream Donburi.

Ingredients:

Mentaiko
Tempura Prawn fried to golden brown
Rice
Japanese Mayo
Wasabi
Black Sesame
Seaweed

I cooked half the mentaiko this time. Pan fried. Awesome. read more

Domesticated

March 30, 2009

I actually did housework. And cooked. Before i go on about my toilet scrubbing routine i’d like to make an announcement:

David Archuleta is coming to KL! I’m such a big fan, i cried watching him perform in AI okay T_T. Wanna watch him in person? DiGi is giving out 2 free passes to watch David Live in KL, check out how you can win the tickets!

Ok done.

Back to my toilet. Haha, i heard you say my toilet is clean! Yay! I’m sooooooo not a housewifey person. But i started cleaning the house abit because… well, because la. read more

My world, my classroom.

March 28, 2009

Like what i said in my last post, most people think their most enjoyable moments in life is during collage/uni time. I don’t.

I hate my college years. It was so crap i would rather have done it on a toilet bowl. Seriously. If you read my blog entries back in 2004/05, most of my entries are angry rants about crap lecturers and flies in the canteen.

i graduated from Limkokwing. There are actually quite a few things i liked about it. The freedom, the blackness (i mean the building and the attire and the…, you know, not the… you know) and the weird people there. Everyday you see Christina Aguillera wannabes and Kurt Cobains alive. What was so crap about it was the location. I stayed in Sg Besi when i first enrolled at the Mayang campus. It was hell to travel to PJ every single day. I had no car then. When i finally shifted to PJ, the college decided to move to Cyberjaya. -_- read more

The long emo post

March 27, 2009

Well, the good news is, while typing this, i don’t feel so emo anymore! Went shopping with Cin yesterday, Rebecca Bloomwood style and it helped! 😀

purple by you.

We pakai baju purple. Everytime so ngam one.

I’m like crazy purple lately. 4 months ago i had zero purple stuff. Because i thought purple looks atrocious on me. Like a red polka dress on Steve Tyler. Plus a shiny tiara. But i dunno what’s with this sudden purple craze. I think it started with a pair of purple Alexander McQueen imitation pumps from Shanghai. Then i started feeling compelled to have matching purple accessories. So as a result i bought a purple belt, a purple dress, a purple scarf, a purple tote, a purple purse and a purple… no la the purple JoRin wig is photoshopped one.  And if i wear/carry all these purchases all at once, i will need to date Barney to look normal. read more

Escape the Yakuza

March 25, 2009

Update: New items from readers and an authentic Vuitton for sale in Wardrobe!

anglia4 by you.

This is Shinjuku station. From here, i changed trains and headed towards Nagano. Although i didn’t get to stop and have a look at the dangerous hangout, i knew something happened. Something more bizzare and violent and savage than the Osaka Hentai Old Men incident.

And it is called Shinjuku Incident.

Shinjuku-Incident- by you.

Blood! Yakuza! Underground!! Betrayal! Mama-san! Drugs! Guns!! PACHINKO! So dangerously Japanese, i like! read more

I’m a Musicon Celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband

March 23, 2009

Hi everyone, my name is JoRin.

I’m an imitation of the famous Jolin Tsai. Yes, i am a fake. But I really don’t mind copying her shamelessly. To begin with, it’s really easy to be like her. You just need a certain hairstyle that involves some sorta side bangs and outrageously elaborated fake nail tips (some fake tits would do good too) and BOM you are a Jolin Tsai.

Secondly, if copying her means i stand a chance to win a Sony PS3, or an iPod touch, or some godknowswhat mysterious gifts, i’d be more than happy to do so. Well, let’s see. read more

It is spring. :)

March 20, 2009

Sakura is about to blossom so it is a happy season.

I have written (or rather, copy + paste) a really long emo post. But before i post it, there are two questions i want to ask. Out of curiosity, and in hope that it would help me understand the source of my bizarre emoness. And also it is my little research.

Pls help okay?

1. How often do you cry (for any reason at all), and why?
2. If there’s a point in your life (say, a year or two) you would want to redo, when would it be and why? Note that you can only repeat what you have done, you cannot change anything. read more

Snow in Norikura

March 18, 2009

On the 4th day in Matsumoto, we went to the hotspring, which was super awesome.

And on the 5th day we were running out of things to do, because Matumoto is a small town. But there’s one thing i’d really reeeeeeeeeally love doing. That was to see snow.

This winter had been warmer than usual, and it hardly ever snowed for the past few weeks. we could go to the ski mountain, which is a little far (like, 40mins from home, which is really far by their definition), and rumor had it that we might not see snow. Plus, weather forecast said that it would rain that day. read more

Nothing beats long hair.

March 17, 2009

Nothing.

(Except super long hair, maybe.)

I was browsing through some of the old photos taken last year and they disgusted me. i couldn’t believe i was so blind to put up with my crap hair for such a long time. I know people said oh Ringo (Ring, now) you look awesome with shorter hair fresher younger taller whatever.

SHUT TURF!

Long hair is for ever.

hair1 by you.

I will never let anyone convince me to cut my hair short again. Ever.

Screw makeovers. I want my hair to be exactly the way i want it to be.

I can’t say i didn’t regret. My hair is no longer shiny ebony and healthy. So much bleach they used. But once you ditch black, you will never go back. It’s color maintenance forever. And it makes your hair worse. It’s a vicious cycle. read more

the holiday irony

March 16, 2009

Update:

I’m feeling so much better now!!! Just picked up my red MINI  for review arhhhhh such a babe! Thanks BMW!

i haven’t felt so crap in a long time. Every time i feel like crap, i want to run away. Have a holiday. and then everything will be okay again.

But there’s just one problem.

The problem is that, i just came back from a holiday. And i reckon that’s the precise reason why i’m feeling like crap.  i dunno which part of the trip made me feel like crap, because it was a great trip and all, although this is my 4th visit to Taipei and it did start to get a bit boring with all the same things in the city. So come to think of it maybe it’s just a regular crap day, or week, whatever. (There’s a difference between periodic depression and period depression. The former seems more likely because it’s not the time of the month just yet.) read more

My life would suck without your song

March 14, 2009

Maybe not to me but to many, Kelly Clarkson has been nothing but an inspiration of life. Her songs have definitely had some major influence on youngster all across the world.

cheesiekellyclarkson by you.

However, it is said that the first American Idol has is not letting any of her songs be used by new contestants on the show. A spokesman for Clarkson insisted it’s nothing personal, but the stance prompted a public scolding from “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell.

Cowell said he hoped Clarkson would let her music be used on “American Idol.” read more
