Travel With Tokyo Metro: Fashion Finds

November 7, 2017

Tokyo might be known for its wacky Harajuku fashion and sometimes over-the-top street styles, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find the perfect piece that your wardrobe is missing.

We know some of the big brands – CDG, Yohji Yamamoto, UNDERCOVER, Mastermind Japan, just to name a few. Here, I would like to share a few fashion shopping spots – a newly opened high–end concept store in Ginza, a vintage clothing store loved by all the stylish youngsters from Harajuku, and a classy European-style select store. read more

Travel With Tokyo Metro: Halal Dining

November 4, 2017

I will be recommending a few Muslim-friendly restaurants that serve halal food or have a halal menu. I was very excited to write about this as I’ve been getting requests from Muslim readers to do a guide on this for some time now! I would be so happy if more Muslim visitors are encouraged to travel to Tokyo as the city is really getting more and more convenient in terms of halal choices and Muslim friendly facilities!

Tokyo Metro Guide

And to help travelers navigate Tokyo better, Tokyo Metro has placed a Tokyo Metro Guide with Subway Map in their stations that is available in different languages. read more

Travel With Tokyo Metro: Affordable Gourmet

November 1, 2017

This past September I went to Tokyo for a Tokyo Metro project. This is my Tokyo guide for all of you who love Tokyo as much as I do. It will help you enjoy this megametropolis from an even more in-depth dimension, other than the neon, skyscrapers and famous eats that most of you are already familiar with.

I believe a lot of you who are reading this blog have made your maiden trip to Tokyo, and you have done all the classic and cliched – a walk down Takeshita in Harajuku, Sushi in Tsukiji, omikuji at Meiji Shrine, shopping in Shibuya… you don’t really need this blog for those. What this series of blog post will do, is to inspire more people to come back to Tokyo and take on an adventure off the beaten track. I will be sharing some of the rare cultural gems, affordable eats that are not in every other travel guide book and even delicious halal food. read more

Tokyolife Winter 2016

January 10, 2017

Here I am at 23:36 trying desperately not to fall allseep, but I really really owe this blog a new entry. On my To-Blog-List there are 6 posts that I really wanted to write, and I am clearing with this one first.

Photo post on #Tokyolife, December 2016.

Forever in love.

I have travelled with two kids for at least 7? 8?… (more?) times so far, and one would think that I am probably a #PokeMOM Go pro at this by now, but you never know. I am still trying very hard to level up each time, because the level difficulty also gets increasingly high. read more

Tokyo Life Autumn 2016

November 5, 2016

During our 3 weeks stay in Japan Sep-Oct 2016.

Quite a number of readers told me that they thought it was unbelievable how I handle two kids while traveling between 3 countries. I totally didn’t think so. The danna helps me out a lot and whenever possible he would come back home early to settle dinner, or watch the kids at night while I do some work, etc.

What is unbelievable to me is this.

(Can you imagine if it rains?! T___T)

The danna said this is my life if I were to live in Japan. After sending the kids to school, the mother will go to work herself. She probably wakes up like 5am to prepare the family’s breakfast, lunch boxes, and dinner for the day. Her danna probably works till late night. After work she will have to pick the kids, settle them and also clean the house. read more

Tokyo Life Summer 2016

August 5, 2016

#Tokyolife post!

Sakura’s second time to Tokyo ^^.

We usually take JAL from Changi airport late at night so that the kids can sleep all the way and the danna can go straight to work after landing instead of wasting one extra day on the flight. #workaholic

STAY

We stay at the same apartment but different room every time so it’s quite interesting to experience different kinds of sizes and layouts.

This time around we have a double (queen size) bed instead of a super single. Still it is really small so Junya ended up sleeping on the edge of the bed T_T. read more
