Sakura and more things pink

April 9, 2013

Hello i’m home!! ^^

It’s been such a wonderful two weeks of all things pink so this post is a compilation of them all!

You can also read last year’s blog post about sakura and all things pink.

Anyway, this is the mission i set every year:

I feel so grateful and blessed every time i think about how i managed to catch so much blissful pinkness last year, and do it again this year.

Most of my friends in Tokyo were so busy with work (including the danna, and excluding RinRin, because it was spring break for her so she became my Hanami buddy for two whole weeks) that they didn’t even have time to sit down properly to sigh at the sight of falling pink petals, drinking, smiling and laughing with their loved ones. Catching an occasional glance of a blooming sakura tree was like a luxury for them. read more

Yozakura

March 30, 2013

Rinrin and i are on a hanami (sakura viewing) spree!

We have been walkin 10 hours a day non stop from 10am to midnight, 3 days in a row, just to catch ALL the sakura in Tokyo before it is gone. And yesterday was Disneyland! Today is a rest day so i have some time to update :3

And i also like to click on #sakura on Instagram just to see different sakura in a different location posted by a different person. They are all so beautiful.

I think this time of the year (end of Mar, early Apr) really is the best time to come to Japan, if you plan to come to Japan and still deciding which season is better. read more

Short like sakura

March 28, 2013

this post is.

This is today!!

I hardly blog pictures i take on the same day but excited to share!! (Although  you may have seen them already on my Instagram)

(Also if you are wondering why i have a heart/shape rib cage, it’s actually Hokkairo (heat pack) i stuck on the inside of my shirt because it is SO COLD. T___T My so called big heart is actually just a heat pack lololol)

One of the prettiest sakura i’ve eve seen.

Later i found out that it is actually plum blossom, not sakura. They bloom just a couple of weeks earlier than sakura. read more

Sakura and all things pink

July 21, 2012

After the yellowest blog post and the orangest blog post, i now present to you the pinkest blog post.

#1

April is my favorite month of all time because of Sakura! And the happy spring mood in general! <3

The whole Tokyo is PINK! Because there are big posters everywhere and they are always about sakura festivals so it is super pink.

You can see a sakura tree every few blocks or so, and the city is dotted with beautiful pink here and there <3

So one day i had to travel to Meguro alone to do my nails, and i was secretly feeling a bit troubled inside because it was quite far away from where i lived, and i had to go alone because no one was free to teman me that day. read more

April Tokyo

July 16, 2012

There are so many pictures i haven’t blogged from my April trip to Tokyo.

This post is about my 18th birthday, for the 25th time in a row, which makes me 43, but i’m actually really about one third that age. Confused? Good.

Tokyo Kawaii TV flew me to Japan! Arrived on 1st April morning and did filming at Narita airport.

Was painfully cold the first day T___T.

I was in a down jacket and i looked ridiculous. Everyone on the street was all light trench coat or just a denim jacket to welcome the arrival of spring T___T. I felt like a giant fashion victim. read more

I actually wrote a really long post about the reasons why I love Japan but it seems like I can’t finish writing it because every hour new reasons seem to appear, so here’s a post on just beautiful sakura.

#1

The first Sakura tree I saw since I came here on 1st April.

#2

Yoyogi park about a week ago with all the sakura buds, it is full bloom now!

#3

On my birthday!

Somehow I just feel very blessed to be born in the beginning of spring just around sakura bloom.

What a beautiful season to celebrate. read more

April 10, 2010

Today is my last day in Tokoname! 8AM flight tomorrow T____T

#1

I feel that i am really super duper mega ultra lucky! Yesterday was so winter we had to switch on the heater and wear 4 layers. So cold i didn’t even bother dressing up to take picture.

But today was a family outing day and it was 21C. Warm till i had to take off my jacket.

#2

Throughout these 8 days, sakura was full bloom all the way.

#3

And today is the start of Hazakura, which means you can see a mix of green and pink on the sakura trees. read more
