Sometimes i really do feel like one.

i’m so used to being lost i think i become uneasy when i don’t find myself feeling depressed to a certain degree.

Took a stroll down memory lane unintentionally, and it brought me back to a whirlpool of emoness. I’m so nostalgic that it becomes a little annoying.

I often, intentionally or otherwise, revisit things that i should have long put behind, and get haunted by the lingering ghosts of my past. Things which i should have trashed away or burned down to ashes long ago, and let the memory slip away. Instead, i keep them so neatly in a safety box ala the dead man’s chest in Carrots of the Currybean. And i take a peek at them every now and then. Could easily avoid it, but instead i get an urge to look back at times. It’s more than just reminiscing. I seem to do it to get myself haunted, forever.

My self-destructive masocheese habit.

Can’t help it. Everytime feeling vulnerable, i’ll do things that will make me feel extra vulnerable. to the boiling point i break down then everything will be cool again. I guess.

It’s silly but it sort of works.

I think i’m a masocheese. Tell me i’m not. 🙁

Bitter gourd and dried Bonito flakes

This lil’dish caught me off guard gourd, as it was surprisingly crunchy and refreshing, not what I was expecting it to be! Which is a good thing 😉

Sea urchin served in between scallops with salmon roe.

The taste of the scallop was very fresh, however i personally didn’t quite like the taste of sea urchin. Kinda spoilt it for me..

What else can be said? they’re fresh oysters 😛

Soft shell crab salad

Mediocre and slightly on the dry side, so pretty disappointing despite looking fairly appetizing.

Chopped raw tuna dressed with raw egg and Korean seaweed

Strong taste of spring onions, almost overpowering but still an excellent combination though a little heavy for a starter. Maybe for those with a big appetite! 😛

Smashed sweet potato salad mixed with salmon flakes topped with salmon roes and salmon skin.

I just love food that looks so appealing, comes exactly like its picture AND most importantly tastes as good as it looks!!! I seriously adore salmon roes! They tickle your palates to orgasm.

Pan fried Foie Gras with XO sauce

Two huge pieces of lavish foie gras with broccoli and dried chilli. Might as well call it Kung Pou Foie Gras.
The most generous portion i’ve ever seen. But the seasoning is a tad too overpowering, not to mention very very very salty too. It becomes very cloying. Not the best foie gras i’ve tried though not the worst either.

Ozeki special maki

The king of all makis. Soft shell crab, Unagi and Ebi Tempura all in one (ok lah several) little parcel. Each and every mouthful brings out a whole medley of exquisite seafood wonders. This is one of the highlights of Ozeki’s menu!

Matsuzaka beef shabu shabu

OMC. It’s. The. Most. Freaking. Expensive. Beef. Ever.

How else but the best way to serve Matsuzaka.

Spicy soft shell crab and grilled cod.

A favourite combination of mine. Spicy yet not to spicy soft shell crab with a nicely grilled cod that isn’t overcooked. Thoroughly enjoyable, really savoured every last bite!

Black sesame ice cream

The texture is so smooth, and the rich aroma of black sesame lingers in your palate for quite some time.

Strawberry and mango panna cotta with black sugar syrup. This was suuuuuuuuper naish! I wanted some cottage cheese with my meal, so I plucked this heavenly dish of goodness from the a la carte curd menu.

Green tea Tiramisu

As naish as the panna cotta was, this delightful morsal was the perfect ending for a wonderful meal, couldn’t have asked for anymore!! or could i? 😉

Now where’s my Kenko Diet Plum. 😀

OMC OMC. I want to keep a dog. I wanna have a maltese and i wanna name him/her Cheddie. 😀

I love going to Ikano pet safari. I can stay there just staring at puppies sleeping for one whole hour. They are just too cute! It’s like how the girls get mesmerized at Tiffany’s. Breakfast at Pet Safari. Wahaha.

So funny, the keeper threw a rubber ball inside and the chiwawa thought that it was an alien. Wahaha.

I really really want a puppy, been dying to own one since i was young. But mom said don’t be cheeseen, i can’t even take care of myself, let alone taking care of another creature. 🙁

I wonder if they rent puppies? 😀

I can’t believe it took me two months to finish my 8-days Sichuan travel log.

It feels kinda sad to write the last post about Sichuan Cheesecapade because i don’t know when is the next time i’m gonna go travelling again. 🙁

Speaking of which, Chengdu is a prosperous city in China. People there have good fashion sense.

The girls there are so chun you just wanna turn lesbian and marry them.

Shopping there was fanastic. You could get a foot massage when you’re tired.

There’s this shop in Chun Xi Road that offers hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail arts and all other vanity stuff.

This girl was doing her hair extension.

After the extension was done, she thought that it was too long and wanted the stylist to trim it.

“Shorter please.”

The stylist cut a few inches.

“I think it’s still very long… i want it shorter…”

The stylist cut a few inches again.

“Hmm… It still looks too long…”

I was like, wtf dash underscore dash sweat sweat sweat. If you don’t want long hair then do hair extension for what?!

Waaay too cheap ok. Nail salons in KL charge RM3 PER nail, extra charges for crystals. Siao.

And eyelash extension is only from RM10 onwards!!! CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY cheap.

I went to see the pandas in the biggest panda base in Sichuan, for the first time in my life!

Now i can really be one smart panda after learning more about their ways!

So happy!

Ok la enough of fake pandas… Let’s see the real ones!

They say that pandas used to be carnivores a long long time ago. However, they were too stupid and clumsy to hunt for food. Therefore, a lot of them starved to death. In the end, they had no choice but to eat bamboos in order to survive.

They were not as cute as i thought! You might have thought that pandas are black and white hor, but they are more like black and beige.

And do you know how much you have to pay just to take a pic with the panda? Four freaking hundred Reminbi! And that’s only for standing beside the panda without touching it. What if you wanna hug the panda for an intimate close-up? Be prepared to fork out RMB1200.

Cheez. I also wanna be a panda.

Wait… I already am. At least i have their eyes.

So only can take pictures liddis far far away lor. 🙁

The tour guide said we were very very lucky that day, because pandas are normally super lazy. They would just sit there dong dong or sleep kao kao.

BUT!

We saw very very naughty pandas having a little drama!

After that we went to see the red pandas. Cheez, they look so much like racoons.

OMC the way they look at you, really can make you go leh!

Then we went to see…

Newborn baby pandas!

Apparently we were super duper mega lucky!

Two pandas were brought to this world just days before our visit, and we had the chance to visit them at the nursery!!!666

Warao the way they nursed the baby pandas was just like the way they nurse human babies!

Flash photography was not allowed in the nursery, but some tourists still flashed like hell. Kesian the babies.

It’s been raining every night here.

I love it. :]

There are some people who prefer the solitude of silence and darkness when they lay themselves to sleep.
The only lullaby which can accompany them on their journey is the soothing sound of raindrops falling.
They fear distractions.
They dread rude awakenings.

I do know someone who can only fall asleep by being immersed in the liveliness of noise.
A jarring cacophony of sounds is needed to escort that someone to the land of dreams.
“I need to feel that there’re people around me”.
Perhaps, you’re just as insecure as i am.

When is the loneliest time of a day?
The moment the lights are turned off, and you’re waiting to be transported to your dreams.
Looking at all the discernible silhouettes in your room, you wait for your night ship in the darkness.

As a loner,
Even when you lie in somebody’s arms, you’ll still feel lonely.
Because that person will eventually fall asleep before you.
You will just watch quietly,
Staying still to avoid waking that person up.

I love it when the symphony of rain plays throughout the whole night.
Its soothing rhythm will fill the night sky even after i’m fast asleep.
Only the falling rain watches over me as i sleep.

See. We feed our dogs beef-flavored hot dogs that are actually made of REAL, not fake chicken meat.
