Skype

April 8, 2009

My feelings towards Skype is magnificently contradictory.

I love it with abundant gratitude, because without it i think i would have been single by now, or considered taking personal loan to pay off my phone bills, or gone nuts.

At the same time i loathe it with great bitterness, because everytime i use it, it reminds me of the fact that i am in a long distance relationship.

The three words or three letters that make me cringe everytime it floats across my head.

LDR.

I receive lotsa emails asking how i maintain an LDR. read more

Ok if you don’t know Vfest already, it stands for Virgin Mobile Festival, a music festival held in UK, Australia and the states. The trip is sponsored by Air Asia to promote this event as well as the Air Asia X flight to Perth and other attractions in Perth.

vfest1 by you.

Was a huuuuuuge event. 90,000 tickets sold throughout Sydney, Melb, Gold Coast and the last stop, Perth. They have 4 stages, called This Stage, That Stage, The Other Stage and the Virgin Mobile Stage. I mean, oh well, i didn’t expect naming a concert has to come to this stage… read more

Tokyo

April 5, 2009

Note:
Ironic, because i’m still in Perth. Flying back tomorrow 6am i wanna die. So sleepy. Too busy to update so this is a pre-written post about To
kyo.

On Day 6, i woke up at 6am in the morning as i had to catch the 8am train back to Shinjuku, Tokyo.

This was the last meal i had in Yuriko’s house.

And the last time i had her mentaiko topping on rice. T_T

It was a cold morning. Yuriko sent me to Matsumoto train station.

Sent me all the way into the train.

And we had to part at the station. Those are other student’s host family. Everyone got teary-eyed. Most of them were sobbing in the train after the train had left. read more

Today

April 1, 2009

I discovered that after having just been on a totally amazing and exclusive heli ride around KL city, picked the boyfriend up from KLIA, shook hands with Jackie Chan and Daniel Wu, and am going on a fully sponsored trip by Air Asia (thank you) to attend V Fest in Perth on Friday, my life still feels like a piece of crap.

This whole “wow Cheesie your life is great” thing is just…

I wonder how many great and famous and popular and rich people in this world think “so what” to themselves everyday. Oh, my film just won 8 Oscars–so what? Oh i just bought a private jet—so what? Ohai my name is God—so what? read more

Mentaiko Expert

March 31, 2009

is my calling. I knew it.

It took me just ONE (1, ichi, satu, yat, yi) day, to perfect the fineness of  the  mentaiko dream dish.

morementaiko by you.

This time, it tasted like rice (although still abit watery, but you could call it, rice.) (Or at least watery rice, instead of porridge. No doubt.) (Or so i hope.)

It’s called the Ocean Dream Donburi.

Ingredients:

Mentaiko
Tempura Prawn fried to golden brown
Rice
Japanese Mayo
Wasabi
Black Sesame
Seaweed

I cooked half the mentaiko this time. Pan fried. Awesome. read more

Domesticated

March 30, 2009

I actually did housework. And cooked. Before i go on about my toilet scrubbing routine i’d like to make an announcement:

David Archuleta is coming to KL! I’m such a big fan, i cried watching him perform in AI okay T_T. Wanna watch him in person? DiGi is giving out 2 free passes to watch David Live in KL, check out how you can win the tickets!

Ok done.

Back to my toilet. Haha, i heard you say my toilet is clean! Yay! I’m sooooooo not a housewifey person. But i started cleaning the house abit because… well, because la. read more

My world, my classroom.

March 28, 2009

Like what i said in my last post, most people think their most enjoyable moments in life is during collage/uni time. I don’t.

I hate my college years. It was so crap i would rather have done it on a toilet bowl. Seriously. If you read my blog entries back in 2004/05, most of my entries are angry rants about crap lecturers and flies in the canteen.

i graduated from Limkokwing. There are actually quite a few things i liked about it. The freedom, the blackness (i mean the building and the attire and the…, you know, not the… you know) and the weird people there. Everyday you see Christina Aguillera wannabes and Kurt Cobains alive. What was so crap about it was the location. I stayed in Sg Besi when i first enrolled at the Mayang campus. It was hell to travel to PJ every single day. I had no car then. When i finally shifted to PJ, the college decided to move to Cyberjaya. -_- read more

The long emo post

March 27, 2009

Well, the good news is, while typing this, i don’t feel so emo anymore! Went shopping with Cin yesterday, Rebecca Bloomwood style and it helped! 😀

purple by you.

We pakai baju purple. Everytime so ngam one.

I’m like crazy purple lately. 4 months ago i had zero purple stuff. Because i thought purple looks atrocious on me. Like a red polka dress on Steve Tyler. Plus a shiny tiara. But i dunno what’s with this sudden purple craze. I think it started with a pair of purple Alexander McQueen imitation pumps from Shanghai. Then i started feeling compelled to have matching purple accessories. So as a result i bought a purple belt, a purple dress, a purple scarf, a purple tote, a purple purse and a purple… no la the purple JoRin wig is photoshopped one.  And if i wear/carry all these purchases all at once, i will need to date Barney to look normal. read more

Escape the Yakuza

March 25, 2009

Update: New items from readers and an authentic Vuitton for sale in Wardrobe!

anglia4 by you.

This is Shinjuku station. From here, i changed trains and headed towards Nagano. Although i didn’t get to stop and have a look at the dangerous hangout, i knew something happened. Something more bizzare and violent and savage than the Osaka Hentai Old Men incident.

And it is called Shinjuku Incident.

Shinjuku-Incident- by you.

Blood! Yakuza! Underground!! Betrayal! Mama-san! Drugs! Guns!! PACHINKO! So dangerously Japanese, i like! read more

I’m a Musicon Celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband

March 23, 2009

Hi everyone, my name is JoRin.

I’m an imitation of the famous Jolin Tsai. Yes, i am a fake. But I really don’t mind copying her shamelessly. To begin with, it’s really easy to be like her. You just need a certain hairstyle that involves some sorta side bangs and outrageously elaborated fake nail tips (some fake tits would do good too) and BOM you are a Jolin Tsai.

Secondly, if copying her means i stand a chance to win a Sony PS3, or an iPod touch, or some godknowswhat mysterious gifts, i’d be more than happy to do so. Well, let’s see. read more
