Update
I brought Cheddie for her second vaccination today and when she got home, she became very quiet and less energetic. Seems moody too. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

I just bought myself a Maltese.

P/S: 0_o I just found out that Malaysians are so generously receptive when it comes to food hygiene. I thought i would have gotten comments like “OMG Cheesie you’re disgusting!” or “I expected you to be fussier than that. Eeew.”. BUT! Most commented that it’s okay to have an occasional hair in their food. 0_o

Today i was eating a bowl of pork noodles and i found a strand of hair beneath the meatballs, passing itself off as beehoon of a different race!

What a disgrace to the delicious hawker delicacy!

Imagine there’s a hair in this bowl of hakka mee.

So i picked it out with my chopstick and placed it underneath a piece of tissue, pretending, “i didn’t see it, i didn’t see it” and carried on eating. But i didn’t finish it, because it’s somewhat disgusting and potong‘ed the yummy steam. read more

I haven’t seen anyone carry these ugly piece of… of.. of… of… zippers, and i doubt anyone would ever buy them (if you, unfortunately, have one or more in your wardrobe, very the no offense, i’m terribly sorry for your taste [or the lack thereof] in fashion), because the stalls selling them are shooing flies all the time. Okay that was just an expression. I supposed even flies won’t get near the ugly things if they can see clearly with their compound eyes. read more

Went for dinner at Souled Out today with HH.

It’s more crowded today than the already crowded restaurant usually is. I had a prawn aglio olio and HH had sang har mee. The sang har mee was delicious! Not only were their king prawns huge and juicy, there was a grand total of 3 prawns! (Other restaurant normally gave two nia). The good thing is, they served the noodle in one dainty plate, then the gravy separated in another bowl!

When i heard that bird flu was coming again, i chickened out at my meaty meals.

Urghh! It’s so sien. Bo bien but avoid eating chicks.

But chicken is sooooo inevitable in Malaysian’s diet, unless you are a fruitarian. Ever since the bird flu alarm, i discussed with my friends carefully where to eat.

TT and i reached the food court.

Me: Now hor, we cannot eat KFC, cannot eat chicken rice, curry chicken, ayam goreng, even if we eat zhap fan, we have to pick the dishes very carefully!
TT: So how? What are you gonna eat?
Me: I eat pork noodle. You?
TT: I eat hor fun la.
Me: KENNNNOT!!!!!! Hor fun got kai see (shredded chicken)!
TT: Oh ya hor ya hor. Dunno la, damn hard to choose if i have to avoid chicken.
Me: Eat beef noodle la.
TT: Don’t like beef. Maybe i eat zhap fan and “fa sang gei geok” soup.
Me:
TT: What?
Me: Peanut chicken feet soup? You know the chickens, they ran around here and there and had got virus and dirt stuck on their feet, that’s the most infected body part of a chicken!

Today i went to the post office to send one of my Wardrobe’s item off to a reader in Miri, Sarawak. Long long time ago when i first started Cheesie’s Wardrobe, it only took me about RM4+ for Pos Laju delivery to peninsular Malaysia and RM5+ to east Malaysia. Few months ago, they have imposed this stupid 10% “Surchaj Bahan Api” (fuel surcharge), without a solid reason (petrol got increase again meh?). read more
