January 10, 2012

There was a time just two years ago where i felt as if dreams that i had all my life, was happening there in Japan, and i was about to lose it. All of it. And i wanted to. And i would never be able to feel the same way about it again.

But every time i go back to Japan, it just feels like falling in love all over again.

2012 couldn’t have a better start than this. Just a short one week trip and it was almost mostly work (filming for a production), but it touched me in so many small little different ways, every single day i discovered a new feeling, a new surprise, a new thing to love.

And most of all i feel loved.

That i have so many people who care for me even in a far far away place like Japan.

It was the best feeling in the world. I was traveling with, of all people, my #addiction, that alone was gonna make the trip super awesome. And then i met so many people who was there just for us, who cared for us, and many other little things that brought tears of joy to our eyes.

Thank you every one who have made this trip one of the best holidays ever.

Our last night in Tokyo, we made use of the opportunity to kill like 8 birds with one stone WTF because that was the only time we had time to meet people we haven’t met, and also re-meeting awesome people we have met.

(from top left) Kuma San 1 and Kuma San 2 who filmed us, Jasman (from Malaysia who works with the Japanese filming team) and Benjamin our reader who came all the way to meet us for dinner.

Shintaro and Yuta who traveled all the way from Tokyo to meet us. It’s such a small world. Guess where we first met?! You’ll never have guessed it! We met on Nuffnang Blogger Awards night!!!!

They brought us Belgian Waffles from Tokyo.

All of us went to Universal Studio Japan (USJ) together! Shintaro, Yuta and Katou whom i haven’t met for 3 years. So so so glad to have met them this trip!

Roses from Imai san who also read us a super touching letter to thank us for sparing time for filming, famous plushies (forgot the name)  souvenir from Ben, shampoo set from Kuma San 1, and souvenir from Shintaro and Yuta.

And then the best souvenir, a Hello Kitty gift bag each for me and Aud.

Hello Kitty Omamori (wishing charm) !!!!

Caught a cold during our stay in Kyoto, and too sick to go out to buy medicine. Was the most meh day of our trip. And then the hotel door bell rang and the reception boy sent me this bottle of flu pills. It was truly like a sent from above moment. Except that it was technically sent by a phone call from Australia. I really teared this time.

Also, during Hatsumode (first shrine visit of Japanese new year) i went for Koi Omikuji (Love Paper Fortune), and got the best fortune paper ever.

I just have a feeling that 2012 is gonna be the best year ever. I’m all ready for the end of the world. Come at me, zombie bro.

They see me rollin, they lovin

January 6, 2012

As i *ahem* age, the quality of your skin is more and more important to make you look young. That’s why recently i have also gone easy on my make up, and focus on having a cleaner face instead.

recently i did a photoshoot with Nth’ magazine. Believe it or not, the stylist wanted to have nude make up on me and all she gave me was really good foundation, blusher, mascara and light lip color. Not even eyeliner.

I was like =)

But it turned out really quite nice!!!

Conclusion is, foundation is super important. Once you found a good one, you can go easy on the rest.

So today i’m doing a review for the latest foundation by L’Oreal Paris—the first ever Roll’On Foundation.
photo

#1

It;s called the True Match Roll’On.

Now i had never seen anything like this and i was like =) how does this work?!

In shallow my knowledge of make-up,  foundation comes in every shape and form–brush or stick, liquid or mousse, tube or jar…. but a roller? That’s a first!
photo

#2

I’m using shade W3 Golden Beige cuz i have tanned skin.
photo

#3

Once you open the foundation case, you will find a Roll’On applicator specially designed for this new product.

#4

My scary no-make face.

And don’t be intimidated with this unfamiliar looking foundation! The steps are really easy! Basically you just have to remember:

1. Firmly Roll

photo

#5

First of all, roll the applicator on the foundation with slight pressure. You will find the foundation sticks really well on the roller due to formula that includes oils and gliding agents that stretch the finest layer of foundation over the skin.

2. Lightly Glide

photo

#6

Lightly glide it across your face, using an inward-outward motion. Repeat till your whole face is covered.

3. Softly flex

#7

The applicator is designed to be flexible to stretch the foundation over the skin so even difficult areas like the side of nose is not a challenge!

#8

Before and after True Match Roll’On foundation.

I love it! I always apply my foundation (usually liquid foundation) with my fingers, but i find it a lot easier with this new roller, the application is a lot smoother and more even. No more streaks or caking!

I like how velvety it feels on your skin, and the coverage is surprisingly good!
photo

#9

For best effect, i also applied True Match Compact Powder after the Roll’On foundation. (RM49.90)
photo

#10

Just lightly dabbed it on for a matte finish–it’s a super blendable powder that is suitable for every skin tone or texture.
photo

#11

For the basic everyday make up look, just complete it with eyebrow mascara, brown eyeliner, blusher and a coat of mascara.
photo

#12

Of course then a sheer and clear lip gloss (i picked L’Oreal Paris Glam Shine Fresh, RM26.90).

#13

And done!! :D

You know how 9gaggers always make fun of girls who take forever to get ready? Well, this look is so simple that it only takes me 5 minutes to complete. CHALLENGE COMPLETED. I believe now i am marriable.

Get True Match Roll’On Foundation at only RM76.90! More for information, check out L’Oreal’s Facebook Page!

January 4, 2012

Never have we thought that we would shop so much.

At first we were like, Japanese Yen has reached such a new high that we could probably afford to eat only 7-11 onigiri every single day, and then we were like hmmm it’s winter now so there’s probably also nothing much to buy.

But wrong were we. BIG wrong.

Because, SALES can never be any more violent in Japan.

Seriously this fuckin sale is driving us fuckin crazy.

On the first day itself we already were panicking about luggage overweight.

Our credits cards were swiped until bercalar calar wtf.

BUY ALL THE FUKUBUKURO!!!

Shopping from our favorite brands. All black shit so now #addiction and i are waiting for a hate message from Xiaxue.

Also midnight i received a surprise package couriered all the way from Tokyo  and i teared after i opened it wtf. It’s full of stuff that i love including lots and lots of Ringo Juice, mentaiko, Jagabee and stuff!!! Also heat packs to keep us warm T________T

Also i forgot to mention that this initial private holiday with #addiction has a twist wtf. We ended up here filming for a new program for an Osaka production so you will see our episodes soon. Talk about making it in Japan WTF.

Sloggi Girls’ Night with Cheesie!

January 3, 2012

Remember awhile ago i posted about hosting a slumber party asking you to join?

Thanks for the overwhelming comments!! I have already picked a few girls to join me on the 13th of January, 2011 for Sloggi Girls’ Night!

photo

So exciting! I’ve pretended a to have a slumber party but never had a real one!!

Well. My slumber party is not so slumber. The theme for my party is “Playful Peppy”. So it’s going to be awesome fun and naughty ;)

I will be competing with other bloggers to be the Best Party Hostess, who will go to the girl who is best at organizing the girls’ night party! So i’m going to need your help to help me win it!

On the party night it self, there will be, of course, hot girls, but stay tuned because there will be a whole night of online interaction with me, so be sure that you follow me on that night! Remember your help is very important for me to make the party awesome, as you can give suggestions or even challenge me and my girlfriend to do certain things ;)

Also to reward you, there will be goodies given out for my Q&A sessions.

So… watch this video to find out more about the upcoming awesome party!

Also the judge for that night is….

Stay tuned!

January 1, 2012

This is not a blog post. This is just a compilation of stuff that i’ve already said. I just kinda make it longer here to sound as if i have a lot of things to say and my life is very interesting.

This is just me plagiarizing myself. (source: Instagram and Twitter.)

What did i say about iPhone killing blogging forever?

Wanted to blog about something that makes me sounds smart and wise (not old, wise), but wtf i’m having pre-travel jitters. Again. So there’s nothing smart or wise about this post. But you’re welcome to pretend that i said something smart and wise.

Packing is about 98% done, but now i’m freaking out about the unknown 2%. There’s always this 2% that is a mystery until you need it in a strange land and you’ll be like I KNEW IT! But did you? Really?

Used more than RM2000 for these 5 pieces of paper T___T

Did our visa too.  You guys see Aud’s MEGUSTA face? HAHAHAHAHAH

How was your new year eve?

Mine was chilling with a bunch of awesome people at Genting.

And drunken light saber fight wtf. This Star Wars thing has ruined me forever. I have a very bad feeling about this.

The last meal of 2011 had been great.

I mean. Sausage stuffed with cheese. Wrapped in bacon.

Anyway.

Happy New Year!

Imma resume to freaking out about my 2% unpacked luggage and off to Kansai tomorrow!
