Tokyo Omiyage (Feb 2015)

February 15, 2015

I’m so confident that there are gonna be more posts like this so i added the month and year. 😛

Read my previous Tokyo Omiyage (Jan 2015) post here!

So i just came back from my solo trip to Japan for about 5 days. It’s pretty much a pampering girly beauty + shopping trip X everything Hello Kitty (will blog more about it!). And i bought tons of stuff!!

And the thing is that i noticed that now that i am a mother and a (sort 0f) housewife, the things i shop for in Japan is also completely different -_-. I bought zero clothes for myself this time (so strange, i didn’t even think about it), and when i go to the malls, i go to do groceries and visit the baby department -___-. read more

Candy Doll new series!

February 14, 2015

(This post is written quite awhile ago, i think when i was still pregnant! I only get to publish it now XD)

It’s been a long time since a make-up tutorial!

The last time i blogged about Candy Doll (a lip, cheek and foundation series produced by Masuwaka Tsubasa made for gyaru make-up) was in 2011!

I am sure you have seen Candy Doll series online and in SASA, and to add to their latest collection, they have a brand new packaging with new colors!

Here they are!

The foundation series.

Baby

8 months

February 11, 2015

Junya turns 8 months today!

(Also read  first month , second month , third month , fourth month , fifth month , sixth month and seventh month here.)

The past month was a rather relaxing month mostly chilling at home for both mama and bb but it’s also very fun and adventurous as Junya went on an exploration on a whole new world of foooooood.

So let’s see what happened in the past month!

For Mama

1. Full time mama

After Japan, i took some time off and just relaxed. For the whole month i was mostly working at home (with occasional outings with Junya together) so i feel like i’m a stay-home mom! read more

#lunchforjunya 1

February 8, 2015

When i was in Japan shopping for Junya, i almost wanted to knock of the whole baby food aisle and bring it back here. It was incredibly cheap and soooo convenient. I mean, it’s made in Japan (all the yummy vegetables!) so the quality is probably better than even freshly cooked one. I was thinking, why even bother to cook baby food where there’s 50 different types of Kewpie in a jar?

I told the danna about it an dhe just said, “Make your own Rinyushoku (solid food for baby) please.” And that’s the end of it. My baby food in a jar dream was crushed. read more

For better hair ! ❤︎

February 7, 2015

I’m really lucky to have number76 take care of my hair all the time, and i sort of take it for granted and think that i can do whatever i want and they will fix it anyway. So i actually neglected the very important home care and just use random shampoos sold in drugstores.

Did you know?? Most of the shampoos in the markets contain silicone because it gives off a smooth and less frizzy finish, but is actually harmful in the long run because it can cause hair follicles to clog and result in unhealthy scalp. read more

The Goddess Who Lost Her Name

February 5, 2015

I have just finished watching this Japanese drama called “Namae Wo Nakushita Megami” (名前をなくした女神), literally means, the Goddess Who Lost Her Name. The tagline of the drama is “Welcome to the hell of mama friendships”.

It is a story about 5 families, mainly the mother of the family and the drama revolving their friendship. Some are crazy jealous and some are nice but turned out to be psychos lol.

(On a side note, watch out for this little girl who goes by the name Lala in the drama. She is by far the cutestttttttestestest Japanese girl i’ve ever seen T_____T. read more

Love Nail

February 4, 2015

New nails!

Guess when was the last time i had my nails done??

2 years ago. For real! Ever since i got pregnant, i haven’t been going to the nail salon. At first it was plain laziness (pregnancy fatigue, anyone?), and after Junya was born, there simply wasn’t any time. Sit at a nail salon for 3 hours?? I could have had built Junya a castle lolol.

Some of us just don’t have the luxury to spare a good few hours apart from the baby just to do nails! But… what if you still can have fancy elaborated nails done all at the convenience of your own home, on your bed even, if you like? read more

Traveling with baby in Japan: Nursing Room

February 1, 2015

Quick note: I just realized that many comments got stuck in spam T___T. And i accidentally deleted all spam forever so means your commenst will never see the daylight T__T. Just want to let you know that if your comments didn’t appear it is not because i hate you ok? T___T. Please let me know (via email!) if it still doesn’t work for you. And if i didn’t reply your question, you can ask me again!

When you travel with a baby and out the whole day, for sure you will have to change a few diapers/nurse or feed the baby, and even just get yourself and the baby some rest. read more

The Kawaii Mirror Selfie: Casio Exilim MR1

January 30, 2015

Can Casio get any more genius?

By now if you haven’t owned any Casio camera, you are probably either very outdated or very hipster (refuse to get cuz everybody has one lol), because most people around me have at least one from Casio Exilim series!

So yea, i have been taking all my photos with my brand new Casio Exilim TR50 (the champagne color one you always see in my coordinate shots), which is no-doubt super awesome. There’s only a catch. Not everybody can afford a selfie mirror that costs more than RM3000. read more

Traveling with a baby in Japan

January 29, 2015

I can’t say that i am an expert since i only have 1X baby and 1X experience, but after a 3-week stay in Tokyo with Junya for the first time, i am greatly inspired and would be very happy to share some tips and ideas that i found very useful for me!

There are too many things to blog about so perhaps i would separate them in a few entries maybe by category (eating out/dressing up/locating nursery, etc). This is the first generic one that answers some of the questions many of you have emailed me. read more

The other day i was wondering how i had survived those days without GPS and Waze. I used to do some part time event jobs during collage days, and i always had to drive to the most remote place for interviews and stuff. I am not a KL local (from Seremban!!), i was young, timid and new in town. Now that i think of it, that was quite some achievement to venture alone and drive to places totally strange to me! read more
