After the face-changing master dropped his mask, he quickly did some funny stunt to save face.
Sichuan Trip Day 6
We left beautiful Jiu Zhai Gou.

.jpg)
.jpg)
And took a domestic flight back to Chengdu.
.jpg)
.jpg)
.jpg)
Our first stop was the Dujiangyan irrigation system.
.jpg)
.jpg)
The irrigation system was built more than 2,200 years ago when the city was threatened by frequent floods caused by the flooding of Minjiang River.
.jpg)
.jpg)
The place wasn’t very interesting la, but i was fascinated by the little stone statues there. They reminded me of Spirited Away.

.jpg)
.jpg)
.jpg)
.jpg)
Even the dustbins were cute statues.
.jpg)
Kids adore the statues.
.jpg)
Then we visited a temple to bai bai, blah blah blah… Usual stuff.
.jpg)
.jpg)
After that, we walked across a hanging bridge called the “Husband and Wife” bridge. They say that if you walk across this bridge hand-in-hand with your spouse, you will live happily ever after blah blah yea right shit.
.jpg)
I hated it. It was swinging like crazy and it was so scary! >__<
.jpg)
*inhales*
*mantains balance and composure*
But still needed to pose properly for photos la. Wahaha.
Then we saw something…
.jpg)
Runaway bride? 0_o
.jpg)
Oh. There was a wedding photoshoot in session.
.jpg)
I had my photo taken with one of the cute brides. ^_^
At night, we went to Qing Ming street.
.jpg)
.jpg)
We watched the famous Sichuan Face-Changing performance.
.jpg)
.jpg)
They served chinese tea with kuaci. So old-school! 😀
.jpg)
Some little video recordings for you.
Whoa one face master damn geng, he could go down stage and change face right in front of your face. Lucky his face-changing skill was perfect. if not really lose face la.
Pun of the day:
Waterfollow-up to my previous Jiu Zhai Gou entries, eh?
If you think the pictures you saw in the previous Jiu Zhai Gou installment were so-beautiful-can-die, wait until you see the following pictures i found on the internet.

The multi-color pond

Mirror lake

(A simple Google search will lead you to all these pictures)
It seems that i’m a lousy photographer. 🙁
This is what i took.

And this is what i found in someone else’s gallery.

Same scene but so much difference!
It’s not entirely my fault la. Apparently, we were there during a season when the scenery doesn’t look its best. This year’s summer was extra long. When we reached there, the leaves just barely turned pale yellow. Jiu Zhai Gou is at its most beautiful during mid/late autumn. Which is about now.
However, my advice is, don’t go to Jiu Zhai Gou during its peak season even though it is at its most gorgeous. Because you’ll spend more time lamenting the crazy crowds than marveling at all the glorious sights.

So many people waiting to sqeeze into a bus!
Anyway, even if i’m a lousy photographer, i’m sort of proud of what i have in my 6GB collection of pictures.
Mom deserves most of the credit for my vain photos.

But i took some really gorgeous photos too.

Look, an apple on the water!

I bluff only la. The scenery is so awesome that you don’t actually need any experience in photography to take decent pictures.

We took a bus to visit the very very magnificent waterfall.

It’s the same waterfall you saw in the blockbuster movie HERO.

And don’t think it’s very easy to shoot a waterfall lor, especially THIS one.
Because you see hor…

Got people kakacaocao liddat everyfreakingwhere you ask me how to shoot leh! Therefore, as i’ve mentioned earlier, don’t go there during the peak season! You’ll regret oni sial.
Really not easy wei. The tour guide kept on shouting “Faster! Faster! Keep walking!” and everyone was pushing each other in search of good vantage points to take photos.
Warao. You need to be damn FAST AND FURIOUS STEADY.
-_-
But i understand their feeling though. Not everyone will have the chance to visit this breathtaking place more than once – therefore the first (and maybe final) visit is really a time to take in as much as you can.
I managed to take a few shots which do not contain any index or middle fingers.

Taken with fast shutter speed.

Taken with slow shutter speed. But someone’s head is there – potong steam!

See, got proof one, dun pray pray!

Nice anot? I think it’s quite nice la 😀

Must be in the picture to show that this is not some illustration taken from some storybook. 😀
Anyway, check out someone else’s shot taken during the most beautiful season.

A bit kuacheong right, dunno real or not one.
Winter adds a different flavor to the waters. Say, popsicle flavor.

A little video for you.
I’m very in love with Jiu Zhai Gou.

I’m gonna end my Jiu Zhai Gou Cheesecapade with one of my personal favorites.

Saved the best for last!
Pun of the day:
Typing my name as “chessie” will not spell trouble, but i still find it -_-ish .

Then it occurred to me… *maybe* they’re just typos la. Who doesn’t make typos right? I magically transformed “tot u busy” to “tit you bust” before.
So thye msut be tpyos laaaaa.
Or not. -_-

Seriously.
I’d be happier if you misspelled my name as “Chessel”, “Cheezels” or heck, even “Chesty” instead of “CHESSIE” uRGH!!!666!
Mind you, my forehead doesn’t spell “i’m obsessed with chess“. I’m not obchessed with that bored board game lar. Furthermore, cheese and chess are as different as cheese and chess.
You don’t type “I’d like to have ESX with you”, do you?! So freaking stop misspelling my name la!
Anyway, i found this. You’ve prolly seen it a million times oredi, but it’s so cute can die!!!666
Check out new items in Wardrobe! 😀
……minus one.
Don’t even know why i was selected with the dash-underscore-dashy photo.
AND VOTE FOR MEEEEE……………not.
I’m one of those people who absolutely detests all this SMS voting crap. Let’s face it la, who will be so bo liao to vote for the contestants of some dodgy reality shows, except the contestants’ own family and friends? You think no need money ah? One sms costs 50 freaking cents ok. Instead of sending one SMS vote, you can add an extra slice of cheddar to your McEgg. Imagine how many slices of cheddar you could get if you refrain from sending 100 SMS votes!!!666
Siao. Too much money is it?
Dunno how Suki won the competition really.
“Should your nominee win the Favourite Gorgeous Man And Favourite Gorgeous Woman awards (based on the most votes and the most creative entries,) you could win a Samsung Ultra Edition 6.9 (SGH-X820) worth RM1,099.”
Hor?
No need la. Go to kennysia.com and type a few lines and you stand a better chance to win an LG White Chocolate. No need to waste money summore.
So i’m not gonna ask anyone to vote for me, because i won’t even vote for myself.
Having said that, I’d like to thank *someone-who-wants-to-remain-anonymous* for nominating me.
Now i’m gonna see if i can find some ways to digitally enhance my picture. 😀
Anyway, Wardrobe’s final bidding closed tonight 11.59PM. Go secure your favorite items now! 😀
Oh yea. Not forgetting the PODT:
Pun of the day:
SMS voting is all just a con-test, as reality shows.
Pun of the day:
Some make-up artists like to draw inspiration from my face, but sometimes they go overpaintboard.
Happy Happy. Photos of fashion show again!
Melvin Hee is someone i got to know recently. A young fashion designer with great talent. He owns a lovely little boutique in Seremban and designs super gorgeous gowns.
I’m sooooooo in love with Melvin………………………..’s designs. 😀 😀 😀
My face was turned into a canvas to be painted on again. I prefer simple make-up any day. -_-

Before

Halfway

Ken (yea, a girl) had her face painted on too.

And HAIR!!!
Grrrrrrrr!

T-T
But i was excited cuz i had the chance to model Melvin’s greatest masterpiece.

Kancheong wei. 0_o

Done!
All ready!
There was this particular singer who performed that night. She’s notoriously known for her attitude, and she has just won a singing competition recently. Because of her triumph in that competition, she’s technically a millionaire now. Oh, and she’s from Seremban too.

Many organizers cringe whenever her name (which i’m not gonna reveal) is mentioned, because her attitude is as kcufed up as my web server. She suki suki datang, tak suki tak datang. Not to mention super demanding too. Been like that even before she became famous. Nobody even wanted to take pictures with her backstage.

There’s no denying it though – she’s prolly the best singer in Seremban la.
FASHION SHOW BEGINS

Ah Ken’s hairstyle damn kua cheong. Like Syndrome.

Initially they wanted to put lightbulbs on her hair but they were afraid that she would become liddis:

So they put fluorescent sticks instead -_-.
Waa it wasn’t easy to walk in my gown lor. There were these…’extensions’ which were thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis long:

OH MY GOWN!

It’s called the White Pearl with Heart

The hero behind the designs… Mel is a V-ner with his fantastic designs!

All of Melvin’s designs shown above are available – their price range is RM300-RM500. If you’re interested to purchase them, or if you wanna know the exact prices, pleasecheeseme@gmail.com. Of course, i get to be the first one to choose! 😀

I actually wanted to blog about something else one but i freaking kenot tahan d.
These few days Cheeserland’s server is so kcufed up. It’s down when i needed it the most. It’s down AT LEAST half an hour a day. Summore during peak hours! Want to read comments kenot. Want to update kenot. Kcuffing sien.

The server went down for FREAKING 4 HOURS!!!666

But i don’t have a radio at home!
He said still got two minutes so i ran to my car and listened lor.
He dedicated Sophie B Hawkins’ “As i lay me down” to me!
Waa he’s so sweet la. Waa suddenly felt better d. 🙂 Faster go check his blog out wei (mandatory pimpage :().
Then i changed my MSN nick la.
I was compraining to Keju and he sent this to me.

I’ve censored all vulgarities in this post because this blog is not mom-proof.
-_-
So i have to replace f*** with tart, c****** with milkbar, and k******* with pikachu.
So yea. Tart your milk bar pikachu.
And Kejusiao you better gimme a cheesing good explanation why my server is so milkbarpikachu INFERIOR!!!666
Anycheese, I’m moving to a new server soon.
Cheese bless.
Pun of the day:
I would be down in the dumps (not litter-ally) if beautiful Jiu Zhai Gou ever becomes polluted.
Let’s get back to our Jiu Zhai Gou Cheesecapade.
The environment is very well-protected. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire reserved area, the toilets are very hygienic and they didn’t even chop any trees when they built the roads.

I actually felt very touched when i saw that. In other places, entire mountains have been moved so that roads could be constructed, whereas it’s the opposite in Jiu Zhai Gou: the nature there is given more consideration and priority than anything unnatural.
I still remember that there was this particular pathway at Fairy Pond which the sedan chair couldn’t pass through, because it was blocked by a tree trunk. They could have chopped it off easily for convenience’s sake. But they didn’t.
I was completely taken over by my environment-lover alter-cheesego. If i’d seen someone littering over there, i’d really have walked up to him/her/shim/it to give him/her/shim/it a tight slap. Speaking of which, i really hope that people would wake up and do something before the haze starts every year. Please, there’s always enough time to prevent it from happening, since it’s nothing new anyway. Why wait until it happens, then only start to take note and complain about it?
Sigh. I wish i’m in Jiu Zhai Gou now enjoying the pure, fresh air. 🙁

i’m selling the fluffy jacket pictured here at my wardrobe“
There were people carrying tribal Tibetan costumes everywhere.

For the tourists to wear and pose for photos.

They would just put it on you without saying anything.

He was very helpful and nice so we gave him a tip lor.

More awesome scenery.

There are many other lakes/ponds in Jiu Zhai Gou, such as the Mirror Lake, Panda Lake, Tiger Lake, Arrow Bamboo Lake…

I can’t remember which is which because they are more or less the same, but they are very beautiful in their own ways.

Have you ever seen trees that grow underwater? ^_^

The Multi-Color Pond is one of the best scenes in Jiu Zhai Gou.

Behold.

I can’t even begin to describe its beauty.

I feel like blogging about Jiu Zhai Gou forever because it’s just so beautiful. Don’t worry, there’s still more to come!
Below is one of my fav pictures. Doesn’t it look like some place which only exists in fairy tales?
^_^

Stay cheesed!
Pun of the day:
I was afraid that my fashion blog couldn’t be launched in time. It was a clothes call.
OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF WARDROBE!
I was thinking of a suitable name for my new fashion blog. Some friends suggested “fitting room“, “cheesie’s closet“, and even “cheesebay” (since i’m planning to sell some of my clothes). But heck, “cheesebay” sounds so wrong! o_0
After much deliberation, I finally decided to stick to something simple: “Wardrobe”. 🙂
And now…
My Wardrobe is ready for a peek! 😀
*Someone* suggested the tagline “I peeked, I sniffed, I came”. -_-
Feedback appreciated. 🙂
Pun of the day:
Have you heard of Boh? Boh tia ke ah? It’s Cameron Highlands’ specialtea!

The last time i went to Cameron Highlands was probably some 15 years ago.

Ryo is prolly the biggest eater i ever know. He ordered a tosai, a a roti cheese, and a plate of nasi goreng kampung.
The food sucked ok. The roti cheese was freaking sweet and it tasted odd. What’s more, it came with a piece of Cheesedale plastic wrap. -_-
And i thought mamak food is always yummy wherever you go. -_-
Ryo was so surprised to see me spit it out and continue eating. He said that if it had happened in Japan, the manager would have come out to bow and apologize for 15 minutes. And you’d prolly get free food for a year in that restaurant.
Great. Now I know what to do when i’m broke in Japan next time. *captures some flies for future use*
In another chinese kopitiam, I ordered Hakka Mee.

HAKKA MEE IS LIDDIS ONE MEH???!!!666

Wilson had some mee soup thingie. And his mee was the same as mine.
Ok i get it. No matter what you order, be it Hakka Mee, Hokkien Mee, Cantonese Mee, Teochew Mee, or Do Re Mee, ALL THE MEE WOULD BE THE SAME!
Haih. Is it not possible for us to enjoy nice scenery and good food at the same time?
So, you can’t have your scenery and eat it too. 🙁

At least the flora didn’t disappoint us.

So huge the hibiscus!
One thing made me wonder… Why do people like to leave their mark on the cacti?

1996! Still visible wei, after 10 years!
I think hor, cacti are the worst sufferers of heartbreak. Their wounds never heal. Even over time. Their scars remain forever. Poor things.

Got Gong Xi Fa Cai summore. -_-
Tea plantation!

This picture just looks so nice-blended. I wonder how they seem to blend so well with the scenery. Is it because of their clothes? Or maybe it’s because they are blonde?
*This is the part where you can skip and scroll fast fast*

Tak jadi self-timer pic. lol.

Waterfall!

*Here ends the part where you can skip and scroll fast fast*
Ei, end oredi wor. 0_o
Pun of the day:
This is the final straw : berrying myself in my work non-stop will do me no good. Therefore, i decided to take a sweet break at Cameron Highlands.
The other day Ching and I had a strawberry feast at Itallianies. On KC again! He is so nice. 😀 😀 😀

We had strawberry drinks.

We had a KC Special—heart-shaped pizza.

We had strawberry pannacotta! Waa so yummy can die.

Cameron Highlands
We had another Strawberry blast with Wilson and his Japanese friend Ryo at Cameron Highlands.

We went to the Strawberry Farm!! 😀 😀 😀

So cute wei!

This strawbie is such an ass!

They had cherry tomatoes too. Damn sweet.

Our little tea time!

SpiderEgg! Wahaha.
Guess what else we ate?
STRAWBIE POPSICLE!!!666
Warao so nolstalgic!

Though it looks a bit obscene, it’s the bestest strawbie popsie EVER!

Each person bought one. Suddenly, everybody was eating it.

Ryo wanted to know if the popsicle had coloring, so he took a pic.

Au Naturel! 😀
Unlike Ryo, Ching and I were strawbified. We mutated into Strawbists.
Look at our strawbified tongues!

Stay cheesed for more Cameron updates. 😉
Pun of the day:
The Mooncake Festival Celebration in Negeri Sembilan made the land-tern into a state of excitement.
Seremban is just a small little town, and there are only so many beauty queens in Seremban.
We do photoshoots together.

We partake in fashion shows together.

We get invited to events together.

And we often see each other with our own tiaras on display.
This time aound, we were invited to the Mooncake Festival Celebration in Lukut.

It was full house.

There were various performances…

Lantern competition…

And Miss Serembans.

At first we thought we were invited just to be seen and eat mooncakes. But indeed, as a Miss *Something*, we are bound to our duties and responsibilities to the community and beyond. After all, without people like us, who else would step up to try and solve world hunger, as well as put a stop to terrorism?
Well, at least that’s what the Miss World contestants say. lol
First of all, of course we’d have to look like Miss Somethings.

We had to entertain our little fans.

We had to entertain those, well, you know.

We even had to entertain little animals. You know, to promote world peace ma.

We had to model for some cars.

Not only that hor. We actually had to parade around the whole town on the cars.

0_o

Really not easy being a Miss Something wei.
But the best part of the carnival was actually this:

The fireworks exploded right above our heads. It felt as if a part of the sky suddenly burst open with a loud bang, raining fiery cheexie dust on us.
It was an awesome, exhilarating experience, though i have to admit it was also pretty chee geek! Mom was so scared that she was screaming until it ended. Haha. 😀
