Sendai

April 28, 2013

On my birthday this year, the danna took a couple of days off. Both of us are not the gifts type of person. We sort of reached an unspoken understanding where we won’t have to go through the headache of what to buy each other during special occasions, but to decide together for a small holiday somewhere.

Last year we went to Okinawa, and this year we both wanted to travel up north to Tohoku.

The main reason was really just to give Tohoku some support. I have heard and seen heartbreaking interviews about how bad the people in the disaster areas after 311 have to struggle for a living, and every damn time it bring me to tears. Although just us visiting the area per se would not change anything about the people’s lives in Tohoku, i hope at least the presence of some tourists there will encourage the people there to hold on and persevere , or at least even just a little smile and brighten up their day. 🙂 read more

HAKUBI WHITE C

April 26, 2013

Today i’m introducing another Japanese beauty product!

I am currently taking many beauty products at the same time, including collagen drinks, placenta jelly, and now whitening also, and they are all Japanese brands because so far i’m loving all of them and so my entire kitchen is also filled with Japanese beauty products and supplement. 😀

Today the one i want to introduce is HAKUBI WHITE C series from Sato.

Sato is a Japanese pharmaceutical company that is almost 100 years old!! I always buy over the counter flu pills for cold in the pharmacy when i was in Japan, didn’t know now they have beauty products too. read more

Number76 Bangsar

April 23, 2013

Hello guys!

If you haven’t already known, my hair salon sponsor Number76 has just opened a new branch in Bangsar on March 15! 😀

It’s located at this new commercial building called Telawi Square at Jalan Telawi 3 (opposite Bangsar Village.)

(Also my very very very small face is on the giant poster there hahaha see if you can spot me)

And the concept is very similar to Number76 branch in Omotesando, Tokyo, which is retro/vintage feel.

Doraemon Museum

April 20, 2013

This is a video for you to play while reading this post. ^^

It’s a new song by Perfume, for the latest Doraemon movie. The music TV is suuuuper cute , and of course produced by my music God Nakata Yasutaka T_T

On my last free day in Tokyo, RinRin and i had a Doraemon date at Kawasaki.

It is actually called Fujiko·F·Fujio Museum , since it’s a museum about the author and all his work. But it is known to everybody as the Doraemon Museum, because that’s the character me and many other people have grown up with! 😀 read more

Eat Tokyo!

April 17, 2013

After fashion, of course there’s food! 😀

Every time i post a food picture on Instagram, confirm i will receive at least 5 “ewww“s and “gross“s no matter what food it is! (including Mango shaved ice, believe it or not!!)

But to be fair to people who are not familiar with Asian food (most of the commenters are Western), it indeed might look a bit gross. But here are some of the noms i had in Tokyo, and i will introduce them! 😀

#1

First meal in the morning!

It was cold and rainy the first morning and i had to rush to Yoyogi Park to meet RinRin for hanami (sakura viewing) so this is an instant tummy warmer! It’s called Corn Potashu (corn soup), and bought it for 90 yen from the combini (convenient store). read more

Which Feline Are You?

April 15, 2013

I haven’t done any make up tutorial for such a long time, let alone a video one!

But recently i have collaborated with Maybelline and came up with a Cheesie Cat Eyes video!

I have created 3 looks according to the feline theme!

BOLD LEOPARD

BLACK PANTHER

WHITE TIGER

Here are some of the product used in this tutorial!

The main hero is this:

Maybelline The Magnum Cat Eyes, to achieve sexy, flirty or even fierce cat eye looks!

This new mascara has 7X more volume, and it’s also 24hr smudge proof.  The secret of this new product is the collagen film formula and a high quality claw brush. It instantly fills and spikes out lashes at the outer corner for a stunning cat eye look. read more

Losing Weight

April 13, 2013

Before you freak out, this post is not about me losing weight la i didn’t have much in the beginning to lose with, but since a lot of people always ask me advise on how to maintain a slim figure, i thought i could use a blog post!

Anyway, my answer to that is forever “Go to Japan.”

I hardly know anyone who gain weight in Japan. Really hardly. Did you? Normally i lose about 1-2KG every time i go to Japan, and gain it back after i come back.

WHY???

By the way these are the kind of food i eat: read more

Taxi

April 12, 2013

So you all are gonna comment that i “only reflect the negative sides of my own country” and also “incite hatred towards own country” with this entry, but i’m publicly unpatriotic anyway so this is what happened to me today.

I already ranted on Twitter but here’s a detailed version of it.

I normally drive whenever i can. With all the horrible cab stories going around town lately including the tourist rape, even though driving is possibly as dangerous as cabbing but at least i have more control over it. However,  the danna had to use my car today and i had a meeting in KLCC, so i decided to cab it after i was done running errands in a mall in PJ. read more

Sakura and more things pink

April 9, 2013

Hello i’m home!! ^^

It’s been such a wonderful two weeks of all things pink so this post is a compilation of them all!

You can also read last year’s blog post about sakura and all things pink.

Anyway, this is the mission i set every year:

I feel so grateful and blessed every time i think about how i managed to catch so much blissful pinkness last year, and do it again this year.

Most of my friends in Tokyo were so busy with work (including the danna, and excluding RinRin, because it was spring break for her so she became my Hanami buddy for two whole weeks) that they didn’t even have time to sit down properly to sigh at the sight of falling pink petals, drinking, smiling and laughing with their loved ones. Catching an occasional glance of a blooming sakura tree was like a luxury for them. read more
