Like i blogged a little earlier about my irrational fear for the impending zombie apocalypse due to mankind’s ruthless acts to mother nature, i have also increased effort in doing my part to delay having the undead chewing my brains off for as long as i can.

Last week’s mission is to help save the rain forest for 7 days. And i pledged to myself in this whole week, i must maintain keep up the pledge. Here are the 10 things i’m committed to doing:

Believe it or not, i used to make myself breakfast.

I will buy bread and milk and i’ll throw two eggs inside my electrical kettle and make half boil egg.

But i always end up not finishing my food because i stay alone, or completely forget about them to the point where i had a 6 months old chicken fillet, a 2 years old mentaiko sack from Osaka in my freezers, and eggs that are actually harden over time.

Then i just stop eating breakfast completely.  Sometimes i pop a few vitamins and just wait for lunch time. And it’s not doing my body any good. I get IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) due to irregular meal times and i feel tired all the time. read more

Spent my weekend clearing my wardrobe and here’s two whole full luggages of stuff (i think) i don’t want anymore. The last time i did that was around the same time last year!

I think i could just sell them off pasar malam price and get some extra money to buy more stuff. Wa if i keep doing this i will have new clothes forever wtf.

Then also i took shitload of pictures of the clothes (i thought) i will never wear anymore but the thing is that once you put it on it’s like wtf it looks so good on me why didn’t i want to wear it anymore?! So yea i might change my mind any time also because i’m a woman wtf so maybe i will still end up keeping some of those stuff in my wardrobe for another two years or so, completely untouched. read more

Since i didn’t get to go to Japan (sob),  i find myself seeking solace in flipping through Japanese magazines in Kinokuniya pretending i’m in a bookstore in Osaka, or playing pachinko on my android pretending i’m in an arcade center in Shibuya, or go to Sasa with Aud to buy Japanese make up products pretending we’re in Don Quihote, or just looking at random Japanese words. I also downloaded Kanji Test for primary school students on my phone -_-.

Or getting new range of Japanese skin care product and pretending i’m using it during my Sakura trip that i canceled (sob). read more

Are you a giving person or a receiving person?

According to the Japanese blood type personality, people with type O blood are the givers (logically makes sense la). And i’m an Type O. In certain ways i think it is true.

Take buying gifts for example. I always enjoy buying gifts for other people than for myself because the feeling of making other people happy when you put your thoughts into something has a much longer lingering effect on happiness than buying something i want.

I don’t know why recently i’ve been losing so much interest on the guilty pleasure of pursuing material things. The excitement of retail therapy is so short it’s almost not worth the money spent. Instead i find that i gain more gratification doing little nice things for people i care about and receiving a thank you, or exchanging friendly and sincere greeting with my apartment security guards, or laugh at funny tweets, or tweeting something funny and make people laugh, or even just throwing rubbish properly (knowing that i did my part to preserve the earth or whatever). read more

Lately i’ve become more paranoid than ever. For some ridiculous reason i sort of developed this thinking that everything that i do now contributes to my own imminent death. And everybody else’s.

If i use a plastic bag i’ll think that a cute leatherback turtle just died because of me. Then when i buy a magazine, i realize i’ve just killed a jungle in Pahang, and there’s now less oxygen in the air, and i will live a short, sickly life in poor health. And during dinner time a bloated African child kicks the bucket and perishes into dry soil because i refuse to eat bad sushi in a local restaurant. And now that i think of it, i vaguely remember not switching off my lights during Earth Hour, and i’m panicking now because that means an earthquake is soon to hit the shores of Malaysia (Rosmah say one). read more
