I just realized that once your baby turns 1, you start to do less of those new mommy things. I am doing less kyaraben, record less videos… i don’t even have an opening pictures for this post.

Ooops. He is officially not a baby anymore. But he is unoffically forever my baby <3.

We spent half of the past month in Japan, and i could see that he is becoming a boy. He… knows things. He appreciates good antics, he plays with people, he tries to understand what we tell him. It’s been so much fun. read more

Happy birthday to the person i love the most in the universe!!!!

Before Junya was born, the danna and i used to have talks about having a baby, and once, i asked if he would get jealous if i end up loving the baby more than him. He replied that it would be strange if i don’t (and glad if i do). And it is only natural because that is what makes me a mother.

So i guess i have become a mother. And he become a father, of course. I always thought that love is like a quota thing, where you have 100% as full tank and you spare some to certain people and the remaining to others. And you can run low on fuel hahaha. The danna and i have quite different views on education when it comes to raising a child together.

I studied hard (half voluntary half reluctant) and got straight As throughout my student life (paiseh to boast like this but really wan), graduated from a local uni, never even stepped my foot in the corporate world, ever, and ended up a sort of, kind of, not really working mom at home who takes selfies for a living. True story. But in my heart i wish i had played harder, taken more plane rides, seen more of the world, made more friends, done more crazy things… instead of wasting my time memorising formulas and names of dead people that didn’t help my selfie taking skill. read more

Junya turns 11 months today!

Junya was about to go on his first date!

After the meet-up with Sayaka and Anna, we decided to meet again when Junya is finally here so that the two of them soulmates can meet for the first time.

To cut the story short (long story is on the link above), Junya and Anna was born on the exact same day, so their mommies feel that it’s sort of fated! When we chatted all these while, we also found out that they have too many similarities!! Of course the age is exactly the same, so it’s very likely they will hit milestones at the same time. But things like falling sick on the same day… that’s just like they are lovers on another star in another paralel world XD read more

So this is a story of how i saved my baby from murderous dead chickens. Raining down from the sky. Yay i just promoted myself to Supermom.

Except no red cape, no weird fringe, no flying hi-speed across tall buildings scooping my poor falling child up with one arm to escape a villain zombie chicken attack.

What happened was, in actual life, we just came back from our family trip to Singapore late at night, all tired. Except the little one because he just had a nap in the car. And i had tons of chores to do and one of the first things was to put all the perishable groceries into the fridge (Hokkaido milk from Meidiya, yay!). read more

Honestly i don’t really remember anything life-changing happening in the past few weeks, so i’d say it’s a month of steady strengthening instead of breakthroughs. For example the beginning of his 8th month he started pulling to stand with much struggle, and by the end of it he did it like a piece of avocado. Into the first week he dropped 4 out of 5 Egg Boro i gave him, and the past few days he’s been picking up food off his plate like a juggler! read more

The past month was a rather relaxing month mostly chilling at home for both mama and bb but it’s also very fun and adventurous as Junya went on an exploration on a whole new world of foooooood.

After Japan, i took some time off and just relaxed. For the whole month i was mostly working at home (with occasional outings with Junya together) so i feel like i’m a stay-home mom! read more

When i was in Japan shopping for Junya, i almost wanted to knock of the whole baby food aisle and bring it back here. It was incredibly cheap and soooo convenient. I mean, it’s made in Japan (all the yummy vegetables!) so the quality is probably better than even freshly cooked one. I was thinking, why even bother to cook baby food where there’s 50 different types of Kewpie in a jar?

I told the danna about it an dhe just said, “Make your own Rinyushoku (solid food for baby) please.” And that’s the end of it. My baby food in a jar dream was crushed. read more
