What did i tell you?

After Radioactive Wolves and Earless Mutant Bunnies.

Now we have SLEEPYHEAD APOCALYPSE.

Who will infect you with their sleepy virus and send you straight to eternal slumber hell.

I mean, at least they have non-existent eye sight, so there’s one less thing to worry about.

Still, i’m buying ammo and setting up explosive booby traps and emptying my brains as much as i can in preparation for Sleepyhead Apocalypse. I’m totally not overreacting.

And i’m stocking up strong cough drops in different kind of flavors.

That errr…. wakes wtf Sleepyheads up wtf. Apparently that’s the way to turn them back into human.

So this is how it happened…

It’s a fairy tale reversed. Once upon a time everybody lived happily ever after…

Until a dude fell into a deep, deep sleep. And there was no Princess Charming to wake him up with a kiss FHL.

Instead, he turned into a sleepyhead and infected everyone around him became Sleepyheads.

So two vigilante Shocketeer volunteered to save the village. With… cough drops. That’s me by the way. Err, the Red Head.

Yea. Apparently i’m a Fish Monger. I hid behind a counter and an ocean of Sleepyheads is approaching my way and in order to save myself i have to shoot Halls candies into their mouth to shock them up from their zombily slumber.

And man are they fast!!!! You wouldn’t have expected sleepwalking zombies with their eyes closed can walk so fast! I got defeated in no time 🙁

Then i discovered that you can actually unlock powers!!

There are four different powers including Triple Shot and Shock Troopers.

And in order to get the powers, you have to obtain your Halls candies and insert the barcode number.

Your objective is to get the highest score!!!

Instead of wasting your time on Angry Birds (you) and Stupid Zombies (me. i seem to have a thing about zombies. Hmmm.), go to Shockville and shock some Sleepyhead.

It could win you RM15,000.

Now *i* am SHOCKED.

ALso, there are FOUR DISTRICT in Shockville. Each week, a new district is revealed, and this week it is the INDUSTRIAL PARK!

The reason this Australia travel log took so long to complete is not because i am lazy.

In case you think we’re some gambling addicts let me remind you again that Casino is a town near Byron Bay. It’s a more rural part of NSW that’s pretty much a cowboy town.

And when cowboy is mentioned normally the image that floats to people’s mind is a man and a horse. But in Casino cowboy town, the boys (and girls) are really seen with cows.

Was the route in one day.

We woke up 5am (me la. Xiaxue snoozed until dunno how many times) and the awesome limo by Park Hotel Hongkong was waiting for us downstairs. Then we caught a 8:30AM flight to Haneda, Tokyo because there was no direct flight to Hokkaido that day 🙁

Normally i don’t take photos of airports but i took this cuz Xiaxue took forever using the toilet. Which i totally don’t blame her because JAPANESE TOILETS ARE FREAKING AWESOME.

This is a handicap toilet in Haneda airport. Would you look at that?! It looks like a freaking laboratory where cure for earless bunnies are formulated wtf.

We had an almost 4 hours transit in Haneda before we flew to Chitose, Hokkaido. Luckily the airport was full of cute shit like this so we were damn busying Waaa’ing and Awww’ing.

Was thinking really hard if i should get this. Xiaxue is really a bad influence she keeps getting me go back to all the cute shit just when i decided to ditch it.

We spent like forever deciding which cute shit to buy and were chatting with a Singaporean lady who works there.

Until she asked me what time was my flight. I looked at my watch, it was 2:15. Our flight is at 4:15PM. We had plenty of time to have a headache over which cute shit to spent our yen on!

AND THEN I REALIZED THAT JAPAN IS ONE HOUR AHEAD.

Means it was 3:15 at that time. And then i kancheong abit and told Xiaxue we should go. So end up i didn’t buy any cute shit and we rushed to take the shutter bus cuz our flight was in another terminal

We missed the bus so we had to wait 5 minutes for the next one. I pretended to chill because didn’t want to freak Xiaxue out but in my heart i was like ZOMG PLS PLS PLS LET US MAKE IT.

So the bus came and it was a 10 minutes drive to the other terminal and we had like 25 minutes left so we rushed and sorta half-run to the gate but we didn’t know where it was so we had to stop and asked someone and finally someone pointed where the gate was so we dashed over to the check point but our ticket wouldn’t go through the scanner.

Then the airport staff looked at me, nonplussed, and said, YOUR GATE IS IN THE NEXT BUILDING.

She didn’t say it in caps la but that’s what it sounded like to me wtf.

I totally freaked. Then i translated to Xiaxue and she totally freaked. Both of us just totally freaked. So we asked where’s the next building and apparently it is like SUPER FAR AWAY and we had to run for real this time and mind you both of us were wearing HIGH WEDGES.

So we run like forever up the stairs down the stairs etc etc etc etc and made it in the end. Luckily it was a domestic flight so last call was like 10 minutes before flight time if not we would have missed our flight and get stranded in Tokyo wtf.

MORAL OF THE STORY: ALWAYS ADJUST YOUR WATCH TO LOCAL TIME.

And find out exactly where you should be going. It was a flightening experience for us.

It is super duper grand indeed!

We arrived about 8:30PM So we met the manager of Grand Park Otaru and went straight for dinner.

We were supposed to have buffet dinner at Terrace, the hotel restaurant, but because we arrived so late, the buffet was over. So the chef specially prepared a 5 course meal for us ZOMG.

I don’t normally blog about food, even if it is really good, but this is what i cannot NOT blog. In fact this is like the highlight of our trip (although there are many others).

(I mean, come on  it’s Japan.)

So for the first course we had a cold seafood salad dish. And a corn pancake because corn is a Hokkaido specialty! I really love how in Japan they are always so proud of their own local produce.

Then of course we had the famous corn soup!! This wasn’t my favorite but according to Xiaxue it was superb. I couldn’t finish mine so she was like, Gimme cuz it’s too good to waste!!

And the best Ringo Juice ever. I cannot stress how much i love Ringo Juice in Japan.

And the ZOMG BUTTER.

I should have taken a picture to show you how fluffy the texture of the butter is. It’s almost like whipped cream. So soft and it just melts like a fluff of cloud IT IS SO GOOD YOU JUST WANT TO PUT IT IN EVERYTHING.

Xiaxue and i actually considered stealing a whole chunk of them from the breakfast table during the next few days.

I think it’s pan fried prawn, fish and scallop. I am not a fancy writer about food but i just can say it’s really good.

AND THEN.

We thought that was it, cuz we were really full already. Mana tau the waiter brought out another two plates and we were like waving our hands and told him we were really full but the chef was like soooo nice he specially worked OT just for us so die die we also had to try la.

Never in my life had i tried beef that is so….. ZOMG. Xiaxue and i were just staring at each other in disbelief and our stomach was exploding but it was just SO. GOOD. that we kept eating it.

We kept guessing if it is some kind of super expensive beef like wagyu or kobe or matsuzaka even something more atas that we have never heard of. HOW COME IT CAN BE SO GOOD?!??!

So Xiaxue made me ask the waiter. So i did. And then the waiter ran into the kitchen to ask the chef and came back out.

“so what beef is it?” We were waiting expectantly for a mind blowing answer.

And guess what he said?

A random cow from a meadow nearby happily lived off green Hokkaido grasses. Why did i pay RM200 for Angus beef in a KL steak house again?

So after the cow, there’s dessert. I mean, a meal wouldn’t be complete without it. But Xiaxue was like, I REALLY CANNOT I HAVE TO UNBUTTON MY PANTS. And she said she hopes it’s some chocolate thing that she doesn’t fancy so she doesn’t have to eat it.

I was feeling meh about it too because i memang am not a dessert person.

And this was our dessert.

Apparently some pudding made of milk from a random cow that happily lived off Hokkaido grasses from a nearby meadow. With some milky sorbet and strawberry puree.

Xiaxue wanted me to try first because if it was meh, she will just skip it.

I cannot describe it. The softness of the pudding and the special flavor of the sugar and everything else combined.

Maybe you will have to read Xiaxue’s blog to find out. But basically she told me the feeling can be described as “savoring angel’s brains”.

That’s some sick metaphor but i guess as far as “HEAVENLY” goes for food, she probably has a point.

Ok noob geek talk!!

I know previously my blog is super frustrating to read because every time i update there will be a short down time and everyone complained that they can’t load my blog.

Well guess what!! I have upgraded my server in ServerFreak, and the problem seems to have resolved! It’s smoother and faster nao!! 😀 😀

They tech support is also awesome, responds to me almost immediately. And i am super noob with all the technical terms so most of the time i was like, domain what? where? How do i do that? But they are always super patient and help me solve my issues promptly!

Satisfied with dinner, we then went for yabbie pumping, where you go down to really cold sea water and catch yabbies (an Australian small prawn-like crustacean) out from the sand using a pump and a sieve.

It was a Google size of sea and sand but unfortunately i got zero result of yabbie fml. The sea engine may as well ask me, “do you mean lousy“?

That’s me feeding poor fish to the pelicans. Be really careful because THEY BITE. I almost got bitten just because i held my hand out too long for a picture. These impatient Angry Birds wtf.

After so many activities, i just feel a bit wtf because we caught the yabbies so that we can use it as baits to fish, then we use the fish to feed birds. And then we catch crabs and… feed ourselves. There’s seriously a lot of feeding going on there.

Ok this is the most amazing fruit thingie i’ve tasted! It’s called Fingerlime, and it looks just like a tiny lime except it’s oblong, and when you tear it open it looks like that! Tiny little… capsules just like fish roes wtf!! And then you bite on them it’s just like sour little… roe thing popping in your mouth, it’s like eating ikura!!!

I was like ZOMG this is like a citrus flavored caviar!!!! And Buck the owner goes, yeap, that’s exactly what it is!

Yeap, the lettuce and whatever goes straight onto your plate. The chef basically just harvests the day’s lunch ingredients from their very own organic garden. It’s incredibly healthy i told Huai Bin i one day will move to a place like this and live all zen before i get old and sick.

We got our aura captured on a photograph.

When i was asked by the extremely friendly assistant if i would like to have my aura picture taken, i was like SURE!!! 😀 😀

Then i had a look of the pictures on the wall and all of them have like some super quality aura like, wisdom, unconditional love,  spirituality, peace and some other positive nonsense.

And suddenly i didn’t want to do it anymore. I told the assistant, what if later my aura came out BLACK?! I don’t want everyone to know that i am evil and was planning to kill everyone on the trip with a fork and BBQ them for dinner?! Or worst of all,

WHAT IF I HAVE NO AURA?

That i’m just this sad…. colorless being who is #foreveralone

Then she smiled and told me, everyone is perfect. And everyone has good aura.

So i did it.

Apparently i’ve got SO MUCH AURA that you can’t even see me anymore.

Yellow and orange means creative, artistic, urge to achieve, ideas and social.

Great. That sounds like me. I was abit disappointed because i wanted more pink (love, compassion) and maybe purple (intuition, faith) cuz they are pretty and also good qualities.

I suspect it’s Cheat One. I’m just full of cheese. 🙁

I flew in from KL and Xiaxue from SG and we met at HK airport!! This is a limo Park Hotel Hong Kong arranged for us!

It’s about a 45 minutes ride from the airport to our hotel. Throughout the trip we met some funny and friendly taxi drivers, one of them was like so gung ho keep asking us to go to Temple Street so much that we suspect he has a stall there haha.

He was also very amused that we look like Japanese, sound like Taiwanese but are actually Malaysian and Singaporean.

We wouldn’t have been to HK and Japan if it wasn’t for Park Hotel Group!

The hotel has super friendly receptionists and helpful staff and all of them speak perfect English!

I have an impression that all hotels in Hong Kong are super duper narrow! The one i went to some 5 years ago was so small that when i turn around in the toilet i knocked on the door wtf.

This is ours! It’s huge and spacious we have plenty of room (as in space. But actually we got one room each but we decided to stay together and gossip, so yea in a way we had plenty of rooms) for our massive luggage cases!

The hotel is within 5 minutes’ walking distance to the subway station and a 10 minute drive to the Airport Express Kowloon station.

It is really like in one of the most happening places in HK! We reached our hotel about 12:30AM midnight, but we just walked out and there are still a handful of restaurants opening for supper! We walked into one dim sum shop and had our first meal.

Our most important mission of the day was to find this Argyle Mall in Mongkok, and like Xiaxue said none of us know how to pronounce Argyle so we were all neh the Arghhhrrrrg Mall place wtf. Then we found out in Chinese it is written liddis:

A lot of Cheat One™ Liz Lisa shop selling floral dresses!!

Speaking of dresses i’m really damn angry.

The first shop we went into has really nice dresses, so Xiaxue and i each bought one, and asked for discount, so the shop assistant gave us 10% off. Then we walked upstairs, there are at least 600000 shops selling the EXACT SAME DRESS, for LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE.

Xiaxue was all suan le ba let’s not think about it but i was all, this is blatant cheating!!! So i insisted going back to the shop and Xiaxue was all, have you rehearsed your speech yet? Do you know what you want to say yet? Cuz based on her knowledge on my chickenness i will just end up eeeeh–ing and ermmm-ing fml.

So we went back, i asked the sales girl if she could at least give more discount for give us another dress (which is a big compromise already because for that price we could have gotten 4 dresses instead of 3).

And she said, “what do you want me to do? Every shop sells at different price.” (read: who ask both of you so sorhai.)

I went mute for a while, then i proceeded to punch her in the face, kicked her in her stomach, grabbed the dress, and started walking out of the shop yelling,

千企唔好向呢间店买衫啊！！呢间系黑店啊！黑店！ 黑店！黑店！

Which in english basically means, fuck this shop.

Except that everything that happened after i went mute was only happening in my head. I just turned around and walked away. So instead of punching and kicking her and yelling like a mad woman in the mall, i’m yelling here.

I thought Xiaxue got kidnapped and sold to some Hongkie ganster who poisoned her mute then make her his slave selling veggies outside a toilet in Argyle Mall.

For a brief moment i wonder if i should feel very guilty that all these happened because i went to pee.

Turns out she got tired and sit down on the nearest stool she could find. We have no freaking idea why the vegetables are doing there.

When i took this picture Xiaxue was like, don’t pretend you’re camwhoring, please tell me you’re just trying to take picture of that guy!!

Which has some kind of truth in it wtf.

So like, this guy walked in and he smiled at me and he’s quite cute so i smiled back la! But then after that Xiaxue kept commenting that he is gay because he never looked at us at all after he sat down and was just very preoccupied with being grumpy.

If you read her blog already you will know i made an awesome pun and she high-fived me and then laughed about two whole minutes wtf.

Ok la it is quite funny also lol. So she was telling me how this guy is so incredibly grumpy that when he ordered coke and his straw rolled off the floor he just did the dramatic TSK face and grimaced, and i was like, “poor dude, maybe that’s the last straw for him” and both of us went LOLOL.

In the plane to HK. Horrid face in this pic but i want to post it cuz the hair color is so nice and it’s so whooshy!

Received a package on my way out from my apartment to the airport so i just brought it along!!

It looks like medicine but they are actually lip balms from My Lip Stuff! I ordered a total of 5 balms and they are awesome!!

There are more than 500 types of funky flavors, including Creme Brule, Dog Poo, Fuzzy Navel and Sex On The Beach wtf.

Ordered this out of curiosity cuz i was all who the hell applies kitty urine on their lips?!

Turns out it’s just the color that maybe in some way resemble its title and it smells awesomely citrusy!

Gummy bear was my fav!!! It has this really intoxicating fruity smell that i couldn’t figured out. In the end i Iyvene sniff the lip balm and she figured it was cherry. Love love love it!

Not only do they smell great, they are also extremely moisturizing. Good to know that the balms are all natural, they don’t contain any preservatives, and are free from alcohol, dairy, and meat by products (except beeswax)!

I was using it throughout my trip to HK and Japan! Highly recommended!

Last day in Hong Kong

This is not me. Or Xiaxue. In case you are wondering. It’s a chicken in a HK restaurant next to our hotel. Half a chicken. Couldn’t be bothered to take any picture since the last day’s fashion sense is always non-existent.

This year is like a half-Holiyear™.

I didn’t really plan the holidays, they just sort of happened. Most of them are half work, and i’m really really grateful that what i am doing now allows me to have the free time to, as cliched as it sounds, see the world.

But it is also this very work i do that requires me to stay connected wherever i go. I cannot afford to disappear from the internet for just as short as 3 days. It will kill me wtf.

That’s why i always like to travel with Online People like Aud and Xiaxue, who understands me (or maybe more hardcore than me when it comes to staying connected). Cuz other friends would be super annoyed if i frantically want to find for free wifi and spent half the day in front of a computer while all they want to do is just stay away from their normal work life.

And it’s super stressful to constantly have to keep up with new tweet replies and comments wtf. During my HK and Japan trip i just sort of gave up on finding free internet that’s why you didnt see me blog/tweet much.

It’s not because i want the whole “getaway” shit but simply because it’s too ridiculously expensive. Was jealous at Xiaxue tweetpicing away cuz she was on some cheap SG roaming packages T___T
