Shopee

September 29, 2015

Well. I do keep waaaaay too much stuff in my home.

Some of the items are too precious to throw away yet they are not really of any use to me anymore. Sometimes i just simply have too many of the similar items. Sometimes i accidentally bought two of the same things lolol.

It’s too much a hassle to sell them at flea markets or bazaar. But recently there has been many online shopping apps that makes our lives so much easier, and my latest interest is in Shopee MY.

You can download the app by searching “Shopee MY“. read more

September 24, 2015

I have been on a roll of all Kyoto awesomeness!

Just came back from my Kansai trip a few days ago, and i was invited to ISETAN KLCC for their Kyoto Fair, just in time to share my experience on all the happy, yummy and touching things i experienced in Kyoto.

Junya would be joining be in his Jinbei along with his mama in Yukata.

Hairmake of the day.

This gorgeous hair accessory is from the Kyoto Fair at ISETAN KLCC too!

Here’s the venue! They have seats exactly like the one you have in Kyoto, where you sit down sipping a cup of Uji Matcha while admiring the mesmerizing sakura petals/autumn leaves. read more

Japanese beauty products on Rakuten Malaysia

September 22, 2015

If you love all the Japanese beauty products, here’s another reason for you to shop at Rakuten Malaysia!

Here’s my introduction post on Rakuten Malaysia. Today, i will be reviewing a skin care product range in Japan and also a series of beauty tools!

Greenbell Paragon of Shining Girls

Whoa whoa whoa that looks daunting.

Apart from the nail clipper, how many of these beauty things you recognize?

None? Great. Let’s do some eye-opening exercises (figuratively).

Tongue Scraper

Why do you need a tongue scraper? Did you know? The major cause of bad breath lies in your tongue. Literally. The tongue is a breeding ground for bacteria in the mouth so if no amount of mouth wash can solve your bad breath problem, try this. read more

Casahana Mooncake

September 19, 2015

For 3 years in a row now, our family is having Casahana mooncakes in celebration for Mid-Autumn Festival.

If you have gone shopping for mooncakes before, i’m very sure you have come across Casahana, because it is simply the most beautifully packaged mooncake brand ever!

Not only does it look exquisitely classy, it also has different themes every year. And for 2015, the theme is Moonlight Waltz.

Sounds too romantic!!

Can you see how artfully designed the boxes are? I love how it’s a harmonious mix of east and west. read more

Juice works

September 18, 2015

I love juice bars.

Fresh fruits are always the best, but sometimes i just don’t have the patience to cut the fruits (a quick Googling tells me that there are 10 steps to cut a pineapple.), and sometimes i don’t want to keep eating the same fruits everyday (10 apples a pack). So that’s how juice bars come into the picture.

Juice Works is a clear favorite because it’s everywhere, and it has more than 30 flavors to choose from, and is freshly blended on the spot! Whether you are in the mood for a power smoothie, an ice-cold fruit smashes, a cup of healthy detox or even a light savory snack. read more

Santa Marche & Shiro Waki Hime

September 15, 2015

Today i wanna introduce two new products from Tokyoninki!

As you know Tokyoninki is bringing in the latest hot-sellling beauty products from Japan, they have two latest additions to the list, which is Santa Marche Clear Peeling Gel and Shira Waki Hime Underarm Exfoliating and Brightening Cream.

Santa Marche Clear Peeling Gel

You may have noticed that a couple of years ago, clear peeling gels have been quite a beauty trend in Japan!

Some of you may have regular exfoliation habit, and wonder if your face scrub is too harsh on your face? I usually don’t exfoliate as my skin is quite sensitive, even slight rubbing with a beady exfoliator may cause redness. read more

The meaning of Umami

September 12, 2015

I’ve talked about the origin of Itadakimasu and the significance of Mottaitai.

Today i want to talk about this word called “umami“, it’s not a phrase like itadakimasu or mottainai, but still related to food, veeeery yummy food, because i know you guys love eating XD.

So let’s see!

You may have heard of umami, since there’s the famous “Umami Burger” in the US. But what is it?

If you watch anime or Japanese drama, i’m sure you know the word umai, which means “delicious“. And mi means taste, simply: “delicious taste“. read more

Senti-Emmental

11 years

September 9, 2015

Today this blog turns 11 years old.

Last year i briefly thought about not being able to have posts like these anymore. But i guess it survived yet another year.

I thought to myself, i have persisted something for 10 years, and even if it doesn’t work anymore, i considered it an achievement. It was like, 我给了自己一个交代。都值了。

During my interview with BFM last month, i was asked to share my tips to successful blogging.  I thought for a long while (it sounded like i answered effortlessly but that’s because they cut out my errrs and uhmmms lolol. Thanks Natalie.) before i concluded that it was plain luck. read more

Hair Salon NALU, Omotesando Tokyo

September 7, 2015

After coming back from Hawaii, i wanted to get a hair cut before going back to Malaysia.

NALU (Tokyo hair salon, English speaking and tourist friendly!), just above 76CAFE, will always be special because it was the birth place of Number76.

It has been around for 14 years now among all the other salons in the most competitive hairstyling territory in Tokyo – Omotesando/Harajuku. There are more than 200 hair salons in Harajuku itself. @.@

Here’s the menu! The price is actually just about the same (except cut) as Number76. Getting your hair done by the authentic locals in Japan is no longer an unaffordable luxury. read more

number76 in Tokyo!

September 6, 2015

I’ve never had so many friends all at once in Tokyo before!!!

Team Number76 in Tokyo!!!

Back in June Number76 had a company trip to Tokyo, and since there are more than 60 staff now they had to split it in two groups, 30 each week and i joined both group for their outings XD

People like Amy and Steve are Tokyo experts now, but there were many staff who set their foot in the land of Japan for the first time, so it was all very exciting!!!

It was Junya’s first tme seeing so many cute fashionable girls at once too lol. On the left side is Yui chan’s (NALU assistant) blond tresses and on the right is Sue Ann’s purple locks. XD read more
