Eat Tokyo with Baby (Part 4)

December 12, 2015

Part 3 here. Part 2 here.  Part 1 here.

Super long food post from our Japan trip in Sep/Oct!

It was probably the worst trip for me when it comes to enjoying food, because my nausea was getting really serious T___T. I gagged myself through cooking breakfast, and i usually didn’t even eat dinner because evening sickness was the worst.

Ok actually the worst is changing Junya’s diaper after he poo pooed. Until today i still have phobia lol. Arghhhhhh this morning sickness thing sucksssss. read more

18 months

December 11, 2015

Hello! Junya turns 18 month today! He is one and a half now! 😀

(Also read  1st month , 2nd month , 3rd month , 4th month , 5th month , 6th month , 7th month,  8th month, 9th month , 10th month , 11th month , 12th month , 13th month , 14th month , 15th month , 16th month and 17th month here.)

The past month had been a little more physically relaxing as i cut down a lot of work to take more time for some proper rest and also to spend more time with Junya. There are other kinds of stress though, like one after another our family members fell ill, and trying to prepare for a massive lifestyle change (we may temporarily relocate to Singapore!!). We were faced with a lot of dilemmas but i guess we are lucky enough to be able to make choices in life. read more

Toki Choi Coordinates

December 9, 2015

You may have heard of the apparel brand Toki Choi, because it’s super popular in Taiwan and internationally.  It is founded in 2004 by Mayuki Chen, a 21 year old who wanted to bring a wide selection of afforable stylish apparels to dress all girl at all ages, and to pamper all fashionista inside them.

There are 4 brands under Toki Choi, i’ll briefly introduce them!

Some of the latest arrivals:

Toki Choi

Created in 2004, the brand name derived from Japanese “Tokiyo” and English “Choice”, meaning “the best choice of the time”. TokiChoi targeting younger girls between 15 to early 30, providing wide array of lively, casual, “girls next door” clothing. read more

Goto-Tomorrow

December 7, 2015

Champon has been in our family for over a year now. He is a Shiba Inu, and we got him from Japan.

He is the big brother in the house since day 1 (first ever picture together!!).

I have to admit, once you have a child at home, your pet is never going to get the same amount of attention from you, ever again (unless they live 20 years and by then all you have is your pet lol). It’s sad but inevitable.

But the fortunate thing is!!!

He now has allllllllllll the attention from his little brother, Junya. Sometimes a little too much to his liking XD read more

How to enjoy izakaya : true Japanese style

December 2, 2015

Even you haven’t heard of the concept of izakaya, you probably have been to one before without knowing!

Izakaya is a Japanese style pub+restaurant that is in a casual and cheerful setting, usually for parties and group gatherings. There are quite a handful of izakayas in KL itself, but i noticed that most Malaysians (including myself before i got familiar with the whole izakaya concept) visit izakaya not knowing the authentic Japanese way to truly maximize their drinking and dining experience. read more

Bringing up beibi

November 30, 2015

Junya is almost one and a half years old now and parenting is getting increasingly challenging.

He is tall enough to reach more and more cabinets and he is strong enough to open more drawers and the fridge. His fingers are getting defter in twisting, bending, unlocking and opening every single cans/bottles/jars.

But obviously it is also time he takes “no” for an answer less and less.

It is frustrating. Getting frantic at your toddler who is holding a glass bottle of soy sauce (they will not hesitate to be ruthless and drop it just to see how you react), not knowing to use the hard approach (firmly say no and grab it by force and let him cry) or soft landing (asking nicely for 10 minutes to a vigorously shaking head). read more

Taste of Mie

November 28, 2015

I’m so happy that all the less prominent prefectures in Japan are making their presence known here in Malaysia!

This time around we have the Mie prefecture to launch their special “Taste of Mie” special menu in collaboration with Sasagawa Authentic Japanese Restaurant in Sheraton Imperial Hotel KL.

Sasagawa is always one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in KL, and to be honest i don’t have many favorites. The biggest reason is that they are truly authentic, i could see the effort and zero-compromise when it comes to food quality. read more

Tokyo Disneysea with Junya II

November 26, 2015

This is Junya’s second time to Tokyo Disneysea!! (Third time, if you count the time when he was inside my tummy XD). You can read the previous blog post here.

I realized i have been to Disneysea 3 times in a row instead of alternating between Disneyland and DisneySea. Well for first timer it could be a very tough decision. I like both the theme parks, but i was at Disneysea again for only one reason: Gelatoni.

It is Junya’s favorite and i wanted to get ALLLLLL the Gelatoni merchandise for him! #Badparenting lol. read more

CiUM: the first kissing lip balm

November 23, 2015

Just before our trip to Japan, i received two sets of lip balm from CiUM!

CiUM is a born-in-Malaysia lip balm, so you can see that some of their flavors indeed have a local touch!

I gave the danna “Sambal” because he loves Malaysian spicy food!

Junya’s favorite is Meeko, which smells of rich cocoa.

He loves sniffing it!

Champon too!

And my favorite is S’berry, which is of a sweet, sweet Lychee scent.

Brought it along with me to DisneySea!

Anyway, what’s so special about this CiUM lip balm, and why is it called the kissing lip balm? read more

Garfield, our travel guardian.

November 20, 2015

Junya looooves cat, so naturally he is also a big fan of all feline characters, including Hello Kitty and Garfield.

Hello Kitty is probably a little too feminine for him so i’ll let him have more Garfield stuff…

Baby lunch QiuQiu and i made together for Junya and Meredith.

And then…

Look what came through our door the other day!!!

Jeng jeng jeng…

A Garfield Trolley Luggage bag!!!

Sorry Junya, that cute luggage trolley is for mama!! But…. you are allowed to carry it for mama XD. read more

Keeping Mum II

November 17, 2015

So we are having a baby! Again!!

(First time here.)

I knew i wanted to have a second one soon after Junya was born. Maybe like 2 minutes after lol. It was like, well, that was a breeze!! (The whole pregnancy and delivery) I can do this again! Like now! Like i have just won a round of Jackpot on a slot machine lolol.

Hahaha. Actually for a few reasons la say real wan.

Firstly, I was super mega ultra lucky to have a relatively smooth (some people even say enviable) pregnancy. I thought, well, second helping, please!! read more
