We were preparing to bring both cheesiepetit back to Japan some time in autumn this year, but it looked like we had to accept the challenge much earlier than expected.

The danna didn’t want to be away from the kids all the timeso we decided to just travel as a family wherever we go. First stop: Singapore. Second stop: Tokyo.

So… here’s our life in Tokyo, as a family of four.

But yes I am currently writing this post sitting in a rocking chair with Sakura lying on my chest inside a baby carrier (because she won’t let me sit still), while Junya is asleep extra early (lots of shopping and walking today). So yes it is a long blog post kind of day.

So, how does having two children feel like?

Honestly, it kinda makes me feel like a snob. I look back at the old me two years ago, I cannot understand how I thought I had no time when I only had one child. ONE. That’s like nothing. Well, not literally nothing, but you get what I mean. I really just want to just give the old me a judgemental stare and say it into her face, “goddamn amateur lolol.” read more

We are back to Singapore!

We made Sakura’s passport so that our whole family can travel together again.

It is likely that our family will be running 3 countries a month for now on, hopping between Malaysia, Singapore and Japan. Every month.

Say what?! @.@

That was my first response when the danna told me that.

The danna has to go back to Japan every month for work and to be honest I feel very intimidated to be handling two kids all by myself. Especially in Singapore where I am still not very familiar with, plus no immediate help available if something happens (in KL I can still call my mom to come stay with me for a short while or get my neighbor BFF to help out). read more

Junya probably has the saddest luck when it comes to celebrating his big days.

He was born on the 11 of June, so when we celebrated his full moon, it was actually more like a birthday party for his papa, whose birthday was on the 11 July. Most of the guests invited were papa’s colleagues lol.

And then his first birthday party was delayed a month later also to celebrate papa’s birthday, and during the party he wasn’t even present cuz he was already asleep lolol.

Finally he turns two, and this time around he has to share the party with his newborn sister, who was turning one month old on 11 June lolol. FHL really. read more

Junya turns 2 today!

In last month’s update, I was writing that Junya was going to be a brother in a few days time. Actually he became a brother on that day itself.

On the day Junya turned 23 months old, his sister was born. Which means as he turns two today, his sister is turning 1 month old. It’s like everything is fated.

A lot of readers asked how I am going to do the monthly update now since there are two kids. Actually I didn’t even know I would still continue to do theis, considering how I don’t even have the time to go for a proper shower now, but I would try and love to do so for as long as I can. So I have decided to combine everything in one post. 🙂 read more

Baby Sakura has been home with me for more than a week now.

It feels like nothing has changed, but everything has changed. There’s one more tiny human in our house!!!

Yes I promise. 🙂

Here are some of the things I felt after I gave birth:

1. I didn’t expect the second surgery to cause so much pain.

The first one I had really minimal pain, and was walking about as usual the moment I was discharged from the hospital! But this time around, I had to be wheelchaired to the car because it was simply impossible to walk T___T. They discharged me because everything looked good. Once I could go to the toilet and passed gas I was allowed home. I really never thought that things like pee and fart can be soooo important in my life until the day I had my stomach cut out. read more

When I entered my 38th week of pregnancy, I started panicking. The baby was head down but she was still posterior, and showing no sign of engaging.

It was exactly the same the first time around with Junya. I had a Cesarean with him because he was facing up and did not engage till the very end. This time around I was determined to try for a VBAC, because I know how long it takes for a Cesarean wound to recover and I really really wanted to be able to hold my newborn AND carry my toddler as soon as I deliver. It really really sucks to not be able to move at all when your kids are needing ALL your attention. read more

Junya turns 23 months today. And in a few day’s time, he is going to be a brother. ^^

Sleep By Himself

I consider this quite an achievement, considering how sticky he has been with me! He used to need someone to hug him to sleep, or at least a milk bottle if he is very very tired. But recently without even knowing, I accidentally “trained” him into going to bed by himself. This is what happens when you really don’t have the time to spend 1 hour tucking your toddler to bed. read more

Almost about 2 years ago, I wrote a blog post on “One Day As a Mom“, when Junya was first born.

Now I am writing as a mom of a toddler and a soon-to-be-born baby. So… technically not mom of two yet XD.

Thank you for sharing all your experiences in my previous post, thank you for the emails, messages, and comments. I never expected that so many mothers are facing similar helper situation and were stuck in the same emotional stress. Thanks for letting me know that you guys are doing so well and that I can do it too. read more
