Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo

October 1, 2016

Quick post!

Since we are staying nearby and I’m still all #pokeMOMgo crazy, we visited the Pokemon Center in Ikebukuro Sunshine City. This post is for all Pokemon (or PokemonGo) fans!

I remember going there when Junya was 6 months old. The danna asked, “is Pokemon popular in Malaysia?” (He probably thought it would be a good topic for me to introduce to my readers) I shrugged and said probably not. But I’m glad there are maybe more people will find this post useful now! 😀

Family Safety App

September 23, 2016

Our family always travel together because it makes us feel secured and close together. However with all the recent crime cases happening in KL, every time we return home I feel slightly paranoid about the safety of our family. When the danna is not around, I avoided going out with cheesiepetits on my own and even when the danna comes back late without notice, I felt worried for him although most of the time it was just his meeting stretched on too long.

It would be nice to know where exactly your family members are even when you have to be apart, wouldn’t it? read more

❤︎I Love Japan❤︎

September 21, 2016

Yes yes yes, I don’t say you also know liao.

But but but!I just realized from my 12th Anniversary post that, not surprisingly, my reader’s most favorite kind of blog posts are about Japan (second is about Cheesiepetit, that one is quite a shocker! So many of you are interested in how I handle soiled diapers?!).

Since I also receive many emails every now and then asking me specific questions regarding traveling in Japan, and my Ultimate 100FAQ About Japan is quite outdated by now, I thought it would be nice if I could sort all my postings about Japan into specific categories. read more

FANCL Mild Cleansing Oil

September 15, 2016

Today I am going to introduce a product that every fashionable girl and mother who can’t live without her makeup and who is looking for a gentle way of cleansing will love.

I was already a fan of FANCL before I got to know this product. A little back story: FANCL is one of the most popular cosmetic and supplement brands in Japan. I bought lots of healthy supplements from FANCL, and half a year ago I had the opportunity to dined in their Organic&Natural Restaurant, Dorobushi, at FANCL Ginza Square. read more

12 YEARS

September 9, 2016

Today this blog turns 12 years old.

For the past few years I kept preparing myself for the imminent demise of this blog but I guess… it accidentally survived yet another year.

Just right before I gave birth to Sakura, I seriously considered taking a break from blogging so I can give my best to being a real mother. But I guess… I love writing here too damn much to even have a break.

Twelve years ago I was stuck at home with nowhere to go so I befriended my laptop. Twelve years later I am stuck at home with @cheesiepetit X2 and can only befriend my laptop when they are both asleep. And I am pretty happy (or pretty AND happy. Ok actually I’d prefer the latter HAHAHA). read more

Even PokemonGo is better in Japan.

September 2, 2016

Nah just kidding.

Singapore is still the best because I caught my first wild Pikachu at Changi airport.

Apparently Pikachu thinks he’s a better fit for a pet than the leopard named Ice Cream that we got Junya from the night safari.

Anyway, my #PokeMOMgo life here in Tokyo.

It is a short trip this time, and the danna works every day so I am staying home with @cheesiepetit the whole time.

But I’m not complaining because……

Two overlapped Pokestop with lures sponsored by random trainers, accessible right in the comfort of our apartment. read more

Lighting up

August 29, 2016

Lighting is very important as it changes the entire ambiance of your home.

We are currently living in 3 different homes, and I must say that the lighting makes a huge difference, and it greatly affects the comfort of our living space.

For example, our apartment in Singapore is quite old and the lights’ quality have deteriorated over the years. At some space it is too dark, making it a little eerie to be honest. Our backyard’s lighting actually short-circuited a few weeks ago and now it is totally a non spark-joy area for us at night lol. read more

Keio Rail-Land

August 29, 2016

Quick post on the theme park we visited with Cheesiepetit during our stay in Tokyo.

We are running out of new major theme parks to visit so we are starting to explore the lesser-known ones. Who knows we may find a few hidden gems!

Junya loves vehicles in general so we decided to bring him to see some trains this time.

The Keio Rail-Land theme park/Museum is operated by Keio Electric Railway Company and is located in Hino city, Tokyo. It is adjacent to the train station “Tama Dobutsukouen” on the Keio Dobutsuen Line. It’s quite a distance from Tokyo, we drove there and it took us about 40 minutes. read more

How Instagram Story Helps Me Lie

August 22, 2016

I never quite got people who are addicted to Snapchat because I thought it was quite a rubbish app (either it really is or I’m getting too old for social media lol). First of all it is impossible to navigate and secondly, it is all made of snippets that’s not qualified to make it to an actual Instagram video. PLUS it gets deleted the very next day so what exactly is the point of it ah?

People who are popular on SC are probably super celebs, or really have a life so interesting that everyone doesn’t want to miss a single second following it. Unfortunately for me I’m stuck in between. My life is neither entertaining enough to be broadcasted every minute live to the whole world, nor boring enough for me to want to waste it away watching other people’s snaps. (To spend 2 minutes watching how an acquaintance turns into a dog and lick the screen from various different angles? No thanks. I rather change 15 diapers instead HAHAHA). read more

Goodsania

August 19, 2016

I blogged about Goodsania last year, a shopping site selling Japanese household items that make home living more convenient and enjoyable!

This time I did more shopping on the site, since my whole life is pretty much about cleaning/cooking/laundry now.

Here are some of the items I got!

Hahaha super aunty.

But actually a lot of the items do spark joy for me and the home other than being useful!

Also, when you have no time to even get out of your house (to buy groceries and catch some pokemons on the way), Goodsania is a godsend when you only need a few clicks and everything can be ordered and delivered! read more
